My review is kind of gruesome so do not keep reading if you are faint of heart... My dad passed away in his home and was there for 9 days before a neighbor found him. On top of that, his roof and pipes had been leaking so there was mold all over. Needless to say that was the worst smell I have ever experienced. My sister and I saved 7 totes worth of his items. Mostly photo albums and family heirlooms like my grandmother's handmade quilts. Even months after being out of that house, the totes still smelled so bad I would gag any time I opened one. I bought 2 packs of these charcoal bags, put 1 in each tote, and closed them up for 2 months. Just today I checked on the totes and they smell so much better! The smell is not 100% gone, but it is significantly improved. I took the charcoal bags out and have them laying in the sun outside for the day. This evening I'll put them back in the totes for another couple of months. I highly recommend these charcoal bags! I am very impressed by the results!

Great for in the fridge, sock drawer, pantry, and car! So the sock drawer hardly needed it, but i needed to put the forth somewhere lol 😂 but helps in the pantry, helps a ton in my car because I have toddlers so it usually smelt like old fruit snacks and cheese puffs, and the fridge it helps a ton with when leftovers are in there!

Great product! I purchased these for my gym shoes that I wear three times a week, and they were desperately needed. They completely eliminated the smell after sitting in my shoes for a week the first time I used them. I decided to give 4 stars because they do take some time to work, and now that I've had them for a few weeks, the smell is starting to come back. However, I do plan to buy this product again in the future, and I would still recommend it because it's a great product for the price! In conclusion, wonderful product, but it doesn't solve the long term problem.

Not totally sure if they are what worked got a couple smell diffusers but I think they HELPED with getting the smoke smell out of a used car purchase

We placed these in a freezer that had lost power and meats inside rotted and really stank. We had used all types of cleansers and baking soda, but odor persisted. These did the job. Hopefully the freezer will remain odor free when we remove them.

So far i've placed 2 of these in my car, one in a gym bag and have not come to the same results as everyone i've read reviews on. I tried to do more review searching etc, and this product seemed to be one of the better products. I dont know if i'm using them wrong, but i took them out of the plastic and its just the canvas bag, which I placed in the front driver side, and one in the back cargo area (of an SUV). And I have not seen a difference really at all. Its been about a week and some reviews i've heard much faster results. If there's something I need to do to the bags please someone let me know. I dont see how this product would have a lemon (defect) as its supposed to be a natural product. My car still has a light musty smell and so does my gym bag. If things change with another week i'll update this review.

I quit smoking a few years ago. After that, I noticed how the smell in my car got less smoky but never fully disappeared. I figured I’d try these before going a chemical cleaner/car detailing route and I’m shocked but it worked. I don’t know how long it took, this was during the pandemic and I’ve been working from home so I don’t drive often at all but I tossed one in the car and a couple weeks later when I went to drive it, the smell was gone. It didn’t smell like anything.
