Titan Maximum: Season 1

I have liked Titan Maximum ever since seeing the two minute preview. But then that's the type of humor I can really get into. Dirty, sometimes smutty, stupid humor. Titan Maximum has definitely become one of my favorite shows on Adult Swim, probably second only to Venture Bros.The parodies are ripe for the picking, including a Top Gun parody with two senior citizens. The characters offer a nice variety, from self absorbed Commander Palmer to Titan's sweetheart (but has a thing for villains in eye patches) Jodi Yanerella, to the only competent character on the show (who I personally feel sorry for, stuck working with nitwits before his move to conquer the solar system) Gibson "Gibbs" Giberstein. I'm waiting anxiously for a second season, can't wait to see what would be done with them all!The only reason I didn't give it a full blown five is the DVD features. It seems we were given a lot, but I just felt them lacking. And the deleted scenes! Most were great! I was saddened by the fact that some weren't included. But despite that fact I watch it so often I'm terrified I'll have to get a new copy. Nothing beats actually being able to watch the episodes whenever I want instead of waiting for the Adult Swim lineup to shuffle. Yet again.

I watched this show on Adult Swim when it was first aired. I got my husband addicted to the Boondocks and he loves South Park, Family Guy, American Dad, and Robot Chicken. When I learned he hadn't seen this series I felt it was my duty to expose him to it.This is by no means a children's show, but it is still awesome. Titan Maximum is one of those feel good, flip you off while brain humping you awesome shows. If you are easily offended by the middle finger, saying the ABCs during intercourse and old people jokes this isn't for you. If you are like me and find all of the above a amusing then you are in for a treat.

A short lived gem. The world can always use more heroes. Even if they're not the best at their jobs.

This show is another bit of Cartoon Network's wonderful, yet all too short, line of shows.Yes, I'm looking at you Korgoth of Barbaria.Plenty of adult humor to go around, sadly, it is only the one disc... there are a few special features that are enjoyable.

If you love stop motion animation then you must watch Titan Maximum. It is stop motion animation combined with CGI sparsely. This is a wonderful expose of stop motion puppetry but the actual subject of that puppetry may not suit all viewers. Since it is by the Robot Chicken crew, audiences should know what they're getting. Simple, puerile jokes but well executed. This is the best looking animation from Robot Chicken and company yet.Sadly, it's not that this show is bad, just that it is not quite as good as it could have been. The Voltron and Power Ranger -esque humor is great. I'd love to see more Willy in the comic book shop--a beautiful set that we do not see enough.This show needs a second season with episodes longer than 12 minutes. Yet, that is very unlikely. This seems to be a classic "is what it is."Even if you do not like the show--which is possible--you should still buy this DVD. That will let you check out the great special features. Every episode has at least one commentary. Plus featurettes and looks at how this show was made from concept to execution. It is the special features that I think warrant the most examination.

This show is amazingly funny. It has the type of comedy that doesn't get old right away, so you can watch it over and over. I love Titan Maximum and can't wait for the second season.
