Greener Clean Non-Scratch Scrub Sponge 4 1/2 x 2 8/10 3/Pack

I like these sponges because they're a great neutral color (beige), so they don't stand out if I leave one on my kitchen counter. Neon blue, pink, yellow, and green sponges are always so noticeable. And they get dirty so quickly! This sponge hasn't gotten stained yet, and I've been using it for several weeks. It also doesn't smell funky, like most sponges tend to do after awhile, and it doesn't make my hands smell bad when I use it. That's definitely a good reason to keep buying them!It does a great job of cleaning, and the scrubber side doesn't scratch my stainless steel sink, which is nice. My only complaint is that after using it to thoroughly scrub my sink, the corner of the scrubber side started to separate. It was the first major cleaning job I'd used this sponge for, not counting wiping down the counters and stove, which is gentle work. It's disappointing that it starts to fall apart after a single major cleaning session, but perhaps that's why they give you two sponges in the package.I'll give these sponges four stars, because they are pretty great, so long as you don't get too rough with them. Good for anyone who wants a gentle sponge that won't advertise its presence with bright neon colors.

These last FOREVER, it seems like. When we first moved into our house several years ago, I bought a set of these. It was years before my husband asked me to order more. I don't know what made me order these, as I always bought the blue or yellow sponges in our old house, but I'm glad I did. It costs so much less to buy these, and for some reason, these just do not stink like the other sponges stank. I don't know what causes the other ones to get so rank while these stay so fresh, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. ...I mean, I ASSUME these are not made of unicorn horn or something.Anyway, these are fantastic and they're so unassuming. They just sort of blend into the background with their neutral color and their lack of stinkiness, and they last so long! I almost feel bad that they do, since I love them so much more than the other sponges (is it weird? it feels weird to love a sponge - I don't usually leave reviews for SPONGES) I would buy more just to show my support for awesome sponges.Yeah, this review is getting weird now. It sounds like I'm crushing on a sponge.In conclusion: Best sponge I've ever used. Actually got me to write a rave review about a /sponge/. Do buy sponge. ...Must stop typing sponge, it's started to look weird on the screen...

I was looking for a more neutral colored sponge for the kitchen. I chose this particular one as another reviewer mentioned how long they last. Not having the same experience. I use the kitchen sponge to wipe counters, scrub food off dirty plates prior to putting them in the dishwasher and clean the sink. Yes the dishwasher is supposed to be attracted to food, but that is a different/longer cycle and then I would have to clean out the bottom. Not interested. Unfortunately the choir or loofah strings come out frequently and the scrub part is now peeling off the sponge after a couple of weeks. I may purchase again because of the color and eco quality, but they are less durable than the uglier yellow and green sponge.

I have a tendency to use my dish sponges until they smell like something that should not be rubbed on a clean plate. Why do I do this? Because the sponges seem perfectly fine except for a smell that comes and goes. The Greener clean sponges worked essentially like other sponges I've used but I think they dry out faster which keeps the smell/bacteria at bay.The scrubby side does start to break down over use, and it begins to look the sponge is falling apart. I personally think this is a good thing. When I finally throw this out in the trash it will probably breakdown over time instead of staying perfectly shaped like my other sponges. I am not sure how long I used a sponge before relegating it to bathroom cleaning duty, but I believe it was comparable to regular sponges I've used in the past. I will definitely buy these in the future.

We love these sponges! They are not only "greener clean", but they are such a nicer color scheme then the yellow/green ones that are standard everywhere. I love that this beige sponge color goes with our kitchen. If you are someone who values function and form, these are for you. They work well for me, and I use them for dishes and the counters sometimes when they are on their way out. I like to cut these in a diagonal shape, making two, so they last longer. Also, this way I can use them in glasses down deeper. For scrubbing my more difficult and caked on pans/pots, I like to use The Lodge Iron Scrappers, or any hard plastic scrapper made for iron pots/pans. These work better, and save the life of my sponges. :)

I do love these greener clean sponges BUT I was expecting the rectangular ones in the photo. I received the curvy edge instead. They aren't as thick and don't last as long. I highly recommend the rectangular version.

Was terribly disappointed when I could no longer get these locally as I can't function w/out them. These little guys clean so very well w/out scratching. The very best feature is the way they NEVER smell when you take the time to keep them clean. It's so easy to clean them by running them through a dishwasher cycle. I always keep several on hand so that I've got spares until it's time to run the dishwasher again. While these guys don't seem to last as long as the traditional sponges, I prefer them due to the material from which they are made.
