I literally am so happy I went this route! The gates that are plastic or metal are never pleasing to the eye! With these gates you can easily open when you please or gate off for pets and kids! Because the gate doesn’t touch to the floor and is mesh cats do get underneath. Dogs - I have no issue with. Be sure the gate is locked securely in place or can snap back and cause an injury. I bought 1 then I bought 2 more! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! EASY INSTALL

I have a wide open staircase and didn't know what to do about visiting toddlers. There was no baby gate large enough, so we started moving furniture to block access. That only worked once. They started climbing immediately on their 2nd visit. When I came across this, I wasn't sure how effective it would be but it's great. Kids have pushed on the mesh and it barely gives. There is nothing they can grab to climb it either. I also really like that when it's not in use, it almost completely disappears.It's a little tricky to operate when retracting the gate, but I got the hang of it pretty quick. I can't reach the handle and the release at the same time so I grab the mesh wherever it's comfortable, twist the release, and pull a little extra mesh out. Keep tension when you switch hands to unhook the handle, and feed it back into the roll enclosure.Make sure you sink your screws into studs, I wouldn't trust drywall expansion anchors for this.

The media could not be loaded.  I love the durability-my twins can birth lean up against it and it stays in place. It keeps them from going through our wide doorway to the stairs. The only downfall is that it’s difficult to open/recluse with one hand

This product was easy to install and might work well for small children and small/medium-sized children, but it does not work well for mischievous cats that apparently know how to flatten themselves and burrow underneath the flexible fabric seams and the bottom (top is flexible too). I've tried relocating it, rearranging the catch hooks, and now tried laying down small blankets and towels to put some for of barrier down to no avail. It's a great product that just doesn't work for my needs of separating mischievous cats.

I would NOT recommend purchasing this product. We bought it for the design as it appears to take up less room than a pressure gate to be placed at the bottom of our stairs.While installation is easy, the pieces were not properly cut. We had to sand down some of the pieces so they would actually fit into one another. The mesh part that makes up the gate does not stay tight when latched onto the other side. My 8 month old son is able to remove the bottom latch making it incredibly unsafe and completely undermines the entire purpose of the gate as he can now crawl under the gate. Lastly, its horrible when you are trying to close/retract it. If you don't hold it perfectly, it will not retract back into the wall piece.Overall, this is an extremely poor product and I would not recommend purchasing to anyone.

The design of this gate is faulty...I thought ordering on Amazon would provide better product...I was wrong. This item was a horrible installation process. The nails that came with it broke when installing into my new timber. The top of the gate wou.ldn't stay on during install...kept falling off. Can't send it back because I need the gate for licensing approval. I will stick with Walmart, their gates are more sturdy and easier to install.

Used item to keep my dogs out of the kitchen. Best if installed above baseboards. Use the provided stencil to avoid drilling extra holes. Durable and easy to operate. Also the design after mounted is pleasing to the eye.

This is a well made, durable and nice looking gate. The fabric completely retracts when not in use. It's a convenient and quick fix to an open stairway into our yard which we need to block off occasionally. Highly recommend.
