Non-stop action
Things are heating up with this latest Volume! I know I’m sounding like a broken record, but Okina Baba does it again!Volume 7 sees the team up of people you would never think would associate with one another. I mean, a Demon Lord, Dustin, the leader of the world’s largest religion, Potimas, the antagonist leader of the elves, and White (or Shiro, whichever you prefer), our OP spider? Sure, it’s an all-star team, but given the fact that they’re all pretty much each other’s enemies, you’d never expect to see them working together. Though, I guess the end of the world is a pretty good reason to temporarily set aside your differences.Yep, you read that right. White, and the rest of the Demon Lord party are fighting not only for their lives, but for the entire planet. White let her curiosity get the better of her, and ended up discovering the ruins of a civilization past. The bad part? That ancient civilization is an advanced one that was lost to the world, chocked full of creations that have no business being in this fantasy setting. We learn a lot more about the world in this Volume, and get to see things through the eyes of the people we normally don’t. We’re still following White and the Demon Lord’s party, but we get to jump into the heads of who I consider to be the big bad of the series (so far at least), Potimas, as well as the leader of the world’s largest religion, Dustin. Their perspective shines a light on things you wouldn’t normally know just looking through White’s or the Demon Lord’s eyes. This allows for an opening up of the world at large, and works to make this world Baba has crafted that much more full. I won’t spoil what all happens but the events of this novel set things up to be very interesting going forward.Fantasy vs sci-fi, monsters and humans vs advanced machines for the fate of the world! The majority of this Volume is action, which is a complete 180 from the previous one, as we didn’t get much in the way of fight scenes. I don’t mind either way, because whether or not fight scenes are happening, the story is always a blast to read. The characters make the story for me, so seeing what they do, and how they react to situations is my favorite thing to experience. The fights that happen are just the icing on top. That said, the fallout of the battle of this Volume can be felt all the way up to the future storyline following Shun and the other reincarnations. I’m excited to see how the stories begin to line up in the coming Volumes. I’m anxious to see where things grow from here, given how this one ends.

no bulli bug
This series is among some of my favorite so far. I read through Vol 1 - 7 in about a week because of how fun it is to read this story. I don't necessarily care for the S stories with the hero and I am glad that vol 6 and 7 didn't really deal with them. Also, the translation is a little clunky at times, if not making it confusing who is talking. This volume in particular is extremely action packed compared to the others and some more development with our band moving to the demon lord's territory. Love this story and can't wait to watch the butchered anime adaptation!

Another great novel
I really enjoyed this novel. It carried much more action than the previous one but nonetheless was still enjoyable. Hopefully next volume slows things down a bit bc I also enjoy the slow journey they had last volume.

A slower entry
OK. I have to come back to revise my review after getting to the final chapters. The first early chapters are a total slog. Characters repeat what other characters have already said or thought. The main story of this book feels tangential to the overall plot, with only brief asides that tell you more about the world.I did not like this book until the very end, but it ended up being better than I expected. Some of the fan service stuff feels a little weird and tacked on.

Gained Traction in this volume!
I’ve enjoyed how the story progressed. The development of characters and the relationships they are building keep me coming back. Seems like the story is gaining traction at the next level!

Local Spider Girl with bazooka rides dragon into battle against spaceship
I think that headline sums up the volume. We get a look into the past of this world, and our troop of little monsters continue to cause havoc for everyone.Honestly, every single volume in this series just continues to get better, in terms of characters and plot. If you liked the 6th, you will love the 7th, just as the 6th improved on the 5th.We are still stuck in the past, however, which likely means that the cliffhanger left from volume 5 will not addressed until the end of the next, if then. I have no complaints, as Ariel and company are vastly more entertaining than the likes of generic hero and harem, but it seems strange that, given how the early volumes loved to leap around time so often, they've suddenly become very chronological. It really just comes down to wanting to see Potimas suffer, and if that's what you're here for (or cute spider girls), you've come to the right place.

One of the best light novels I have ever read
Although it has stretched out dialogue that’s were my cons end. It’s full of excellent world building and is structured in a way that allows for a lot of possibilities. I love the freedom the author takes with this story and the emotions it brings out of me this is a solid 9.8 out of ten for me

It's still Spider.
Not only does this volume deliver on ample amounts of actions. It also manages to simultaneously remind and further establish extrordinary amounts of character development, world building, mixtures of the two, and memorable interactions between characters.Loved this volume, and I'm 99% satisfied with it.That missing 1% can be found in what I found to be at least 4 type-os / grammatical / syntaxical errors.Either way, loved this volume.

Good Book
This part is one of the best books I've read and I've read a lot! So it was really exciting and good with an ending that makes me very curious to see what happens next.

For those who read the web novel
Honestly, I think you need to read the web novel before reading the light novel. Not only do you understand the events more and in a different way, but you also end up being able to enjoy a different story that’s technically still the same story. I can point out a lot of parts that I don’t think I would understand or even like if I didn’t read the web novel before the light novel.Anyways, this volume was great. It was mostly focused on one event instead of how it usually goes, so it feels shorter then the other volumes, but that also means the whole volume felt like the climax. We also get a lot of hints regarding the world and our main character, so you’ll have fun thinking about those for the rest of your day. Definitely worth the read if you’ve liked the series so far.
