Easy use indoor trainer
Bought this to let me keep using my cycle into the off season, and got it just before the snow hit this year. Excellent product with a straight forward design with no unneeded frills. As described, used in one orientation, the trainer generates resistance based on user effort, which is a nice workout all told. Used in the other orientation, the device adds no resistance, but continues to function as a good roller for indoor use.

Works really well
We bought this to use with my recumbent street bike during bad weather. It works great. Its sturdy, has adjustable resistance, and was easy to set up and use. Its everything I'd hoped it would be and I use it several times a week.

Nice for a trike especially an electric assist trike
You don't need to pull the skewer and suspend the trike on its axel center. Just set the drive wheel on the rollers, make sure it's straight and centered and then start pedaling. Very simple and easy. One drawback is that there is no flywheel, so you have to work at keeping a smooth cadence. That part isn't great, but if you have power (a motor or a belt drive or other complications) making the traditional mount difficult, this is a good solution. The speed-proportional resistance is fairly realistic. Essentially, the thing works.

Perfect
I'll be using this in the winter to continue riding my rear wheel drive Sunseeker Eco Tad SX trike.Update: With the cooler weather upon us I have moved my trike inside. With over a hundred miles so far I have found my SportCrafters Double Overdrive Trainer to be everything SportCrafters claim it to be. There was no assembly required. It was ready right out of the box. You can feel the resistance ever while going through the gears. The faster you pedal and stronger the resistance. Both red caps are on the left side of my trike.Cons: Five miles inside is harder than ten miles outside. Why? Because you don’t get to coast downhill. You have to keep pedaling. lol (so this really isn’t a con)Pros: You can ride anytime. You can easily talk on the phone or watch television or play PlayStation. And no worries about rain.

Great device, but if you're not young and not a muscle rider get the easy one.
In retrospect I wish I hadn't bought this one. The description says if you flip it around the other way its real easy to ride. No its not. I flipped it around and its just as resistant as it is front ways. I hurt my knees on it and wish I had gotten the low drag one instead, too late now.

Loud & not much resistance
I had really high hopes for this. Not sure if this is just how they are or mine is mine is defective? But I felt like it was strangely loud. And also had very little resistance compared to the road.

My cold weather substitute
This trainer works well with my recumbent trike. I have 2 additional braces that I use under the two front wheels. I use the shifter to rev up or down the intensity of the pedaling.

Great Trike Trainer
The resistance level makes all the difference. Since my trike has many gears, I can adjust it so that I have just the amount of resistance I need for serious exercise. It is noisy when the resistance is up and the speed of the rear wheel is fast.
