Q: will fruit discolor the bowl and how do you clean it?

Anything salty may pit the surface, as salt does with silver as well. So no salted nuts, etc. I have displayed in my bowls fruit still encased in its outer covering -- unpeeled bananas, apples, oranges, and so forth. I have never placed peeled fruits in my bowls, so I don't know how they would respond to that. Nambe has a polish on its website that you can order, that the manufacturer recommends. However, as with silver, if you wash it often in mild soap and water, you don't really need to polish it. That said, it never hurts to use the Nambe polish on your pieces every now and then.

The bowl I have is 15-3/8" long outside measurement (15-1/8" long inside) by 11-3/8" wide outside measurement (11-1/8" inside). It is is 5" high at its tallest point and weighs 4.8 lbs. It shiny inside and outside except for the base.
