Excellent dip stand at a great price
I bought this for my 16 year old son, who is a big kid. He is currently 6' and about 160 lbs. He has been wanting a dip bar for some time, and this one fits the bill perfectly. The price is very reasonable compared to other models I looked at, and it is a strong and sturdy piece of equipment. It is easy to assemble. When the package came I was not home. My son received it, opened it and assembled it himself with the help of some tools from my tool box. After reviewing his work, I was satisfied that he did a fine job of putting it together. As I said he's 16 (smart of course), but the point being, if a 16 year old has no problem with putting it together unsupervised, I think most people can handle the assembly. I am very pleased with this product. It is very stable, the handles are thick, which distributes weight bearing over a broader surface of the hand. It also has a 22 inch width from mid handle to mid handle, which is ideal for dips. It is also light enough to move around. You can move it indoors or out with little effort. He also uses to perform horizontal rowing movements, so this single piece of equipment can provide a very effective upper body workout. I highly recommend this product.

Best dip station ever.
Besides this black mountain dip staition, I have two more "THERACK® Workout Station 30 lb Pro Version" , "ultimate body press dip station" Compare to those two, this is the best dip station i've ever had, quality and price wise. I was worried after reading all bad reviews but this dip station is very good. I do dips, hand standing push ups, inverted row etc on it. Pros Evrery parts and frames are aligned Easy to assemble No scratch and any marks on product Two handles are totally parallel.(Handles of Ultimate body press dip station are angled differently to each other and it's super annoying) Staisfying Height and width(Its not that wide as others said. Im 5'9'' and long enough for me) Very sturdy and doesn't wobble( Im 165lb and doing dips with 80lb weighted vest on) Cheaper than any others Cons Late Delivery(It took 13 days though Im prime memeber)

None of this adjusting was easy because the pipe is strong
I need to warn you about this product. I would give it no stars except for the fact that, with a lot of work, I was able to make it work for me. It was so used when I got it that I couldn't even insert the parts into each other that needed to be inserted to put it together. I am mechanical minded and strong enough so I was able to bend the parts so that they could fit together in order to assemble it. Also the parts came with deep scratches into the metal of the pipes. But as I said, with the adjustments I made, it is something I can do bar dips on so it gets one star. Also be aware that the bars are not even. One side is lower than the other. So to work for me I had to adjust things to make the bars the same height. None of this adjusting was easy because the pipe is strong, which is a good thing. I sent an email to the company about all of this but received no reply.

Sturdy stand, but grips are a litte wide
This is a pretty solid bar. Putting it together was pretty easy. There are four hollow bars that are held in place by four bolts. Once assembled it does seem to be a pretty sturdy bar, however the holes drilled into the bars for the bolts didn't all line up perfectly and weren't all cleanly cut. This meant that some of the bolts slid right into place while some of them had to be forced through the pre-drilled holes. The dip stand also comes with four blocks that can be placed on the bottom bars for stability. I have not used those support blocks. The stand seems to be sturdy and balanced enough just resting on the floor itself. In terms of functionality, the bar is pretty good. It doesn't wobble any. The pads where your hands hold your weight up are very comfortable and appear durable (although I haven't had the stand long enough to attest to this). Once assembled, my only complaint is the same as many others that I've seen: the stand would be better if the bars you dip between were closer together. They are pretty wide. I like to keep my hands pretty close to my sides with my elbows tucked when I dip, but I can't do so with the bar. I am a pretty average build (5'10", 160 lbs), so I can see how this would be less than ideal to many people. It doesn't mean that I can't do effective dips or maintain safe form. I just can't perform dips with ideal form as my hands are just too far from my sides. I debated giving the stand 3 stars instead of 4, but felt that would be inaccurate. It is a very sturdy bar, especially for the price. It could just use some minor tweaking to get the holes to line up perfectly and to bring the bars that support your weight a little closer together. It would be nice if the bar could fold up for storage when not in use, but I couldn't deduct any stars over this as I am unaware of any adequate dip stand that does this. ***UPDADE: I've had the bar for a full year now and have used it pretty regularly. It has not work out one bit, so I can strongly attest to its durability. I still have never used the blocks they provide for bases, and I even took the screws out several months ago and it is still stable. I took them out so I can remove one of the upper bars and fold the rest of the sand on itself so I can store it against a wall in our home.

It's pretty solid after you tighten it an insane amount. Haha. It's a tiny bit warped, but it's not a big deal. Works perfect for what I was hoping to use it for. The only problem is that it was shipped in a box that the corners got destroyed and the plastic bag with all the screws was open and I had to collect them all in the grooves of the box, but luckily all of the pieces were accounted for (with extras). They could improve on that. That's my only recommendation for the manufacturer.
