Small fits like Medium. Lightweight but sturdy fabric. Great w/jeans
MY PHYSIQUE: 5'7", 125#, 32 DD chest, thin physique, narrow hips.HOW SMALL FIT ME: Perfect in the shoulders. Arms were nice and long, and very slim. Baggy, tho, with 6-8" excess width from my 38" chest on down. Not a trim fit.MY GOAL: I bought this to have something nice but casual, better looking than a T-shirt, that was lightweight 100% cotton for humid SW Florida, that I could wear with jeans to, say, meet with contractors or go to the dentist. I don't need this shirt to cut a striking figure (which is good because there's too much fabric around the waist to flatter my figure).SMALL FITS LIKE MEDIUM ~ I usually need a Medium to fit my 'broad' shoulders and chest, but I'm also thin with narrow hips, so most Mediums have unflattering extra fabric below. (A perfect fit for me is Ann Taylor's feminine cut "Perfect Shirt" in a Size 4, or better yet 4 Tall, as of 10-15 years ago, tho sizes may have changed.)Based on reviews, I ordered the Small in the pale Lavender Stripe. The shoulders fit well, but it does have at least 6" excess width at the waist and more than enough width for me at the chest level. Thankfully, the fabric is light enough that the excess isn't a big deal, esp if I tuck it in with care to avoid the balloon look. On me, I think it looks best untucked. Or, under a jacket, the too ample waist could be hidden.ARMS ARE SLIM: I do like the fact that the shirt arms fit my slim arms quite trimly, but this could definitely be uncomfortable if you have more ample arms.PRICE: I finally pulled the trigger when the pale Lavender Stripe went on sale for $15.30. I'm very frugal and didn't need this urgently for, say, work. If this shirt fits you well and suits your needs, it would be reasonable to pay more, given its quality.FABRIC: I love the look and feel of this fairly lightweight but sturdy 100% cotton. In fact, it's very hard to find what I'm desperate for: very lightweight all-cotton tops and pants that could fly in the office on Casual Friday. It's impractical to wear jeans-weight pants or any heavy fabrics if you spend any time outdoors in the heat, 9 months of the year in SWFL. Most of the competitors on Amazon claim 65% cotton / 35% Polyester or similar, and they can have that wee bit of shine or something that takes it out of the "casual" category and into the "office" category. The poly-cotton blends are often heavier than this fabric and definitely warmer and less breathable. It helps that I'm not worried about wrinkles. I haven't *needed* to iron in years. My process with all-cotton button-up shirts like this is to take them from the running dryer while slightly damp, and hang them nicely to finish drying, wetting and smoothing anything that dried out of place. My all cotton shirts look good enough (for my purposes) using my method, and some better brands even have the kind of all-cotton fabric that doesn't seem to need ironing right out of the dryer. My shirts never look terrible as if they were wadded up wet and left to dry, perhaps because I shake out my clothes before putting them in the dryer and don't leave them sitting in the dryer.COLOR: One customer complained that the purple stripes were darker than the website photo. True. I think my photos are a little more accurate, but my photos are slightly darker than it looks in real life. I'd call it a healthy pastel Lavender, in real life. I, too, was attracted by the super-pale lavender color, but the less-pale lavender is also very pretty, and I like it even more.DETAIL and PATTERN MATCH-UP: The fabricators did a very good (95% perfect) job matching the stripes at the pocket, and at centering the pattern in the front and back. Notice how the stripes were carefully centered on the inch-wide front placket. Only the OCD will notice that the thick purple stripe on either side of the placket are not the same width. Other than that, the stripes on either side of the placket are matched, ie the pattern is basically symmetrical on either side of the center line of the shirt, front and back. You definitely don't see that level of care in most cheap shirts on Amazon, but I'd have returned a striped shirt that didn't do a decent job with that. They just look sloppy and cheap to me, if there's poor pattern line-up or centering.

Really nice cotton blouse. A pretty shade of lavender stripes.
A beautiful striped blouse that definite feels like cotton (a bit stiff now when it's brand new). I bought the XL and probably could wear a large. (I wear a size 36 DD bra and don't like to have to pin button down blouses shut at the chest.) It's great across the shoulders but large through the body. And I even have a hit if a pear shape. I may exchange it.P.S. I did indeed exchange it for a L (large) which is a more fitted shape on me but still with some "roominess" through the waist and hips. I like it and will return the XL.Interestingly, the shades of lavender are different in the 2 blouses. It's a faint difference but I can see it.Ruth Jackins

Looks good, feels good
Nice weight, feels good, cut is flattering and feminine. I had ordered a large, and the xl I replaced it with fits much better (arms and chest, but I'm atypically shaped). I am wearing every day to keep cool and protected from the hot Tucson sun. I would definitely buy this again.

Buttons are tight and difficult to fasson and are a slight yellow color
I like the shirt itself but the buttons really hurt the overall score. They are tight and difficult to do and undo. They are also a slight yellow color which is a subtle issue but hurts the look overall.

I'm so mad I could spit!
I bought 4 of these shirts for work, while they were thin, I thought ok its fine I can put a shirt underneath it. You know what? The 4 that I bought that were try before you buy were fine. It gave me enough confidence to buy a shirt in a different color that wasnt. Now let me tell you about the shirt that wasnt. My experience with that shirt was awful.the shirt was damaged it looked like someone had taken a box cutter to both sides of the shirt just below the package. I said it was defective. That's an understatement. And I had to return it to get a refund because I couldn't do the return and replace because it said that color was currently unavailable. Then I tried to call to express my displeasure and the lady on the phone at customer service was a jerk who acted like she didn't know what she was doing. Now here's the kicker. I returned that shirt to a ups store and Murphy's law got my car hit in the process. Tell me why couldn't they just accept a damn picture of the damaged shirt. Believe me when I say Amazon owes me for my gas and time for that shirt. To take it back when I would much rather they did some quality control on the front end than send me trash on the back end. My suggestion is don't buy their stuff outright use try before you buy. I tell you it was night and day the quality control for try before you buy where I hadn't committed to the purchase, than the garbage that I got by buying outright. Again I'm so angry right now I could spit. The cost of repairs to my car more than outweigh that damaged shirt and Amazon when the cost is under a certain amount take the customers word that its damaged when we say it is. I could have sent you pictures than go through all that headache over one jewelry shirt.
