Avid block pad set Rim Wrangler

Deceptive listing-selling 2 pads 1 set only-clearly shows two sets/4 pads in listingPads feel like a harder compound than I'd want or expect with new pads...although I returned them as it was the right thing to do when I didn't get what was represented.

If you’ve not used these before, they have good consistent stopping power with out squeal. That means not grabby, good modulation. The significant caveat is they eat your rims and every couple of hundred miles you should inspect the pads and remove all the aluminum bits with an awl or pick.

There isn't much to say that isn't good about these pads from Avid. The company makes very good products as most cyclists know and these are not an exception to that rule. They stop good in wet, dry, muddy, dusty, hot, and cold conditions and have a medium amount of durability (which is just the right balance between durability and stopping force in my judgment). The pads get 5 stars.The product description is somewhat misleading though. Amazon is usually fairly good with the technical writing aspect of their site but I guess low volume items such as this aren't given much attention. It is unclear whether you are getting one pair or two. The picture shows 2 pair (4 individual pads) and the text reads "2 Bicycle Rim Brake Pad Set" -- another unclear description.I'll make it clear to potential buyers: you will get 1 pair.

This item comes only with one brake set for a single bicycle rim. The picture shows 4 pads but the package only comes with 2. The wording of the listing is also less than clear. As long as you know what you are getting, it's a good product.

Perfect OEM fit for my bike. Contains one set of two pads (for one wheel).

Just be aware that the picture is misleading. It shows 2 pair of brake pads but you are only buying one pair. To be fair the description states it is for 1 pair only but the picture is misleading.

...I tried some of the other pads here and they would not fit the Avid Single Digit & brakes, so I went back to the source. A little squeak on the front rim at first, as usual. A little toe in and a short ride and they work great. Stop great too.

The pads are great and the service was great. The only disappointment was the picture leads one to believe that four pads come with the order, but it was only two pads.

Der Verkäufer täuscht mit der Abbildung von 2 Paar Bremsschuhen incl. Splinte bewusst vor, dass es sich um eine entsprechende Liefermenge handelt! Ich nenne das eine böswillige Täuschung! Da spielt die Qualität des Produktes nur noch eine untergeordnete Rolle. Amazon sollte diesen Verkäufer abmahnen!

Hätte beinahe die kompletten Bremsbacken incl. Beläge für viel Geld gekauft. Der Austauch der Beläge durch Entfernen der Sicherungs-Splinte unter Berücksichtigung der Fahrtrichtung war in 10 min vorne und hinten erledigt. Danach noch die Bremsen einstellen, da ja nun wieder mehr Bremsbelag vorhanden. Da merkt man erst wie gut die Bremsen am Anfang waren..!

Die Abbildung suggeriert den Kauf von 2 Paar und lässt den Preis damit als günstig erscheinen. Stattdessen kauft man aber nur 2 Stück, was das Angebot zum ziemlichen Wucher werden lässt, da man auch noch Porto zahlen muss! Das ist aus meiner Sicht eine klare Käufertäuschung. Deshalb nur 1 Stern!

Einfach zu montieren und Bremsen echt gut. Bei Nässe sollte man etwas aufpassen, denn die Bremsen greifen recht zügig. Leider nutzen sich die Beläge sehr schnell ab. Bei meinem Hinterreifen müsste ich nach sechs Monaten und ca 4000km die Beläge wechseln. Scheinen aber schonend zur felge zu sein.

Die Bremsleistung steht außer Frage, sie ist enorm. Der Preis dafür ist ein sehr hoher verschleiß an Belägen und Felge. Bei der Konkurrenz gibt es die gleiche Bremskraft mit weniger verschleiß meinst zu einem günstigeren Preis.
