KEXIN USB Flash Drive 64GB

Brought for uni and hoping it will last the full 4 years 🤞🏼, it's a great little size and does the job perfectly.

Didn't even realise you could get stick with this much storage so well pleased I can safely store massive amount of family archived photos which I can easily hide from any theft of my pc or bulky portable hard drive - ordered 11pm at night and arrived early pm next day - uber quick delivery!!

Would not register on computer when inserted but put it down to operator error!

The “KEXIN 64GB USB Flash Drive USB 2.0 Memory Stick” is perhaps one of the poorest purchases I have ever made on Amazon; I have used USB sticks for data storage for some years, with up till now, no problems. The “KEXIN 64GB USB Flash Drive USB 2.0 Memory Stick” measures roughly 6 centimetres in use and approximately 4 centimetres in its swivel alloy casing, so aesthetically all looks good. It has a storage capacity of 58.5 Gigabytes, rather than the stated 64 Gigabytes but this is standard for USB drives which never attain the storage advertised. The product itself is instantly recognised by a computer as a removable drive so I began what would turn out to be a nightmare, data transfer. I had a lot of data to transfer some 30 gigabytes easily handled by other USB sticks I have previously purchased and so I thought it’ll be no different with this one. Usually a USB stick indicates an approximate data transfer of a few hours with that amount of data but I was presented with five weeks four days and a number of hours, I knew it was USB 2:0 so data speeds would be a little slower than other brands I have previously purchased so I left it believing that the transfer time would considerably decrease once data transfer had begun. This was not the case and the drive was still transferring data nearly 4 days later and had at that point transferred just over 13 gigabytes of data so I decided to stop the transfer and move the transferred data back to my computer, having now bought a decent USB drive from a reputable source. Again the indicated transfer speeds were excessive over 3 weeks, some of the data was invaluable such as photos of my grandchildren and I was able to transfer some but not all of my data back to my computer. The drive itself, although recognised by my computer, had files on it that were inaccessible to my system, meaning that all of my remaining data was lost, also having decided to send this reprehensible item back my system was unable to reformat the disc. To make matters worse I am having to travel some miles in order to drop this item off at a collection point rather than Amazon taking responsibility and collecting the item via courier themselves as other retailers do. This item was an Amazon recommended purchase, so I assumed it was a fit for use product, I have now lost irreplaceable data, had a lot of time wasted and been inconvenienced by having to take this item a number of miles as Amazon don’t seem to have a system in place to collect items for customers who do not have a printer. Terrible, terrible experience please do not buy, Amazon should take this shoddy product off their site with immediate effect.
