So far, loving this tower garden
I was surprised at how big the stackable sections were, and the planter pockets are nicely sized to allow for potting and growing. They stack nicely and have good drainage. I suggest using river rocks or broken pot pieces on the bottom of each section so the holes won't become plugged. I put mine on a rolling cart because I want to be able to move the planter once the sun shifts in the summer, and so that plants on each side can have a turn with the morning to afternoon sun. So far, I am loving it. I am trying peppers and radishes which are growing fast, and bush beans on top to start. It is a learning experience. Something to note, you will need to water more often with container plants, very important, and once a week, soak the soil with a concentrated fish or kelp fertilizer mixed with water to replenish nutrients you wash away during normal watering. Plants love the nitrogen. I will update after a good growing and harvest, but I could not be more happy with this garden tower. I also purchased a smaller one for herbs which are doing nicely also! Update: (8/18/2017): I wanted to throw in an update on the Stacky Tower. I am still loving it. I have grown and harvested the following, all have done very well; red/green bell peppers, hot red peppers, poblano peppers, radishes (do well if grown in front of the cups,) bush beans on top (lots of beans, budding for a late summer 2nd round,) and scallions (still growing, so we will see, just wanted to try.) I again fertilized every two weeks and use a "tea mixture" once a week, watering in for good soil bacteria. I have never had much luck with bell peppers in our garden plot, so seeing the tower covered in peppers is amazing. I added a pic to show late summer veg. Can't recommend this tower enough!

Best way to garden in a small space!!
I researched for the best option in tiered planters. This one has way more volume and is super sturdy. I am on the second season of growing and even with the intense Colorado sun and heat this plastic planter is showing no signs of weakening and is built very well. It sits on a second story patio year round and has not even got knocked over by wind!! I have confirmed you can grow a ton in this thing. The price is a steal for what you get and I love you can add on. 5 tiers have been perfect though. You could go with 6 but I wouldn’t do more than that if you want to be able to turn. I did put a heavy duty plant stand roller under it so I can turn or move if needed. Only other recommendation is to water each tier or make sure to really soak the top. Thanks for making an awesome product at a reasonable price and bonus that it’s made in the USA!!

Durable and cute.
Love it. I even saw in a futuristic movie. However, at least for me, it was better to cultivate herbs and small plants.

Disappointed - not good for strawberries
While the product is sturdy I found it much too shallow to grow strawberries- the reason I bought it. There is no center rod and the first minor windstorm it blew over - I found even with regular watering things just weren’t growing or producing fruit. I’ve pulled out all my plants and now going back to a traditional garden bed where the runners can attach to ground and multiply - can’t do that in the stacky - may try using it for herbs or just annuals - disappointed

First time that I was ever was able to successfully grow strawberries!
I have wanted to grow strawberries for many years and tried and failed! I started plants several times in my garden and it never worked out. I downsized my garden this year to some raised planters and thought, why not try this out. I bought one hanging basket type strawberry plant at a home center, I was able to divide what was in the basket pot to 4 plants. They really took off! The runners filled the other spaces and I actually had strawberries! It needs watering when it is really dry but it is easy to water since it is stacked. I am thinking of getting another one for for next year!

Very nice system
Buy the large model. I rig mine on a heavy umbrella pedestal, works great and puts everything at good working height. The hole in the bottom fits a 1" thick-wall PVC pipe. I also let the center pipe stick up tall to anchor a tomato plant on top. Great for herbs, strawberries, letuce, scallions, more. I stack them 7 units high.

PVC pipe dimensions! Get the big ones for veggies!
So far I’m very excited to see how well everything went together. I had a hard time figuring out what size PVC to purchase till it arrived so if your like me and need to know ahead of time, 1” PVC fits through the hole and it will sit on 1.25”-1.75” to support it up off the ground. I purchased 1.25” pipe to raise it up, but ended up getting a 1.25” to 1.5” adapter and a 1.5” to 1.5” coupler to add surface area to support it with a larger surface area. I’m sure that sounds confusing, but the diameter of the coupler is equivalent to a 1.75” pipe and would provide a bit more support, but probably isn’t really necessary. I have my larger tomatoes/peppers in the top and will do romaine lettuce, beets, spinach, carrots, and strawberries in the lower levels. The pot below is growing potatoes (I hope). The 1” pipe has a cotter pin attaching it to the 2x6 on our house and keeps everything from blowing over, while all of the actual weight of the pot is supposed by my franken PVC adapters and 1.25” pipe. I love how it looks and keeping it up prevents my dog from attacking the pots, dragging, chewing and killing my veggies. Pretty much the best deal I could find on doing a raised bed or tower garden. I would need a fence for a raised bed and the hydroponic stuff out there is insanely priced. Unless you have more time than you know what to do with and want to do a 55gallon barrel DIY garden, this is the way to go if you live in suburbia.

I have had stacking flower pots before but these are much larger. I bought a stack of five and each one holds four plants. I am trying Strawberries this time. All the plants look very healthy, I water them from the top tray and it percolates down to all the others. So far so good delivered quickly well packaged.

So happy with my Mr. Stacky! A solid and sturdy product that is easy to assemble and is made in the USA....I couldn’t be happier. Light weight but very solid and sturdy. I purchased these for strawberry planting and it looks amazing. There are 4 sides for planting and it is easy to stack. These are not cheap plastic that you would find from oversees countries. These are so well made and worth the money. I will be planting these in the ground individually in the fall for over wintering. Hoping my strawberries will come back again for next year.

The big one is steady and the higher capacity make it more versatile. Unfortunately they only sell the basic set to my country.
