Long Dryer Cord
It's kind of hard coming up with a review of an appliance cord. I moved and the laundry room setup demanded the buying of a longer dryer cord. These are not carried by any of the local box stores and the appliance repair store didn't keep them in stock. The appliance store could get me on for the low price of over $50, coming to Amazon was a no brainer. The cord is working good and it does not get hot. Having the pic of the plug end was genius as it helped me get the right one that I needed. Replacing it on the dryer was very easy to do, only a screwdriver and a nut driver were needed. High quality long dryer cord
I got this so that we could rotate a stacking dryer away from a corner. The “approved” way would have been to keep the short cord and move the wall plug, but that would have been expensive and time-consuming.Build quality is as good as I've ever seen in an appliance cord. A new wire clamp/grommet was included in the package. The instructions were easy to follow, with pictures, which is good because the clamp installation is a little non-obvious.

Yeah baby!!!
What can I say, I reallly needed an extension for my dryer and like other reviewers have said for the life of me I don’t know why the heck more hardware stores don’t carry it in store or even online. It’s built well and exactly what I needed, I haven’t had any issues with it after months of use and I don’t expect to either. If you can’t wire a few wires to your dryer than I don’t know what to tell you cause it don’t get any easier man.

Further proof that Amazon has everything.
Try asking for one of these at the local hardware store and see if they don't look at you like you have two heads. When we moved into our house, it came with a washer and dryer in a closet area off the kitchen. The dryer was a 1980's Lady Kenmore apartment size dryer, mounted on the wall over the (full-size) washer. We recently replaced the working washer with a more modern, agitator-free model. Within three months, the dryer kicked the bucket. Talked to several appliance repair guys, appliance stores, etc. - they all seemed totally baffled by a truly wall mounted dryer and didn't want to even take a crack at fixing it. The best suggestion I got was to just buy a stackable unit. Well, that might be a great suggestion, except that we didn't want to junk our practically brand-new washer. My wife decides she's just going to buy a nice full-size dryer and have it installed just outside the "laundry closet." But wait - no cord sold in stores will possibly reach far enough. After once again making multiple calls, I am told that my best options are having an electrician move the outlet or splice a cord. I take to the internet, and lo and behold, Amazon has our answer. Enter the 10-foot Dryer Cord. Problem solved. We now have a functional full-size washer and dryer. There are no frills here, but it does exactly what it's supposed to.The installers from Lowe's were as surprised to see this cord as I was to find it. "Where did you find that?" they asked. Well, Amazon, of course.

Ordered a 10 foot cord, received a 5 foot cord.
I gave it four stars because it looks like it works properly. The problem is: I ordered a 10 foot cord and received a 5 foot cord. We were remodeling our laundry room in a short space of time. We needed a 10 foot cord so the stacking washer and dryer could be on the far end of the laundry room. We already had a 6 foot cord, which was not long enough. Since we received a 5 foot cord, we had to go ahead and remodel around the 6 foot cord that we already had. I am returning the 5 foot cord.Extremely disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took 3 extra days to get here, but ...
It took 3 extra days to get here, but the cord took care of the the problem. We bought a new stackable set of LG laundry appliances, and by design the dryer is suppose to sit on top. The cord must ver installed in the upper right hand corner in back, and that is 75 inches off the floor. In addition, laundry utility connections are typically installed in the walls to accommodate side installations of laundry equipment, and it makes the most sense to the installers to put the washer, the lower unit, close to the water and drain. This leaves the dryer electrical hook up further from the power supply than the standard 6 foot cord can reach. The appliance departments at Lowes, Home Depot and Sears had not thought about this, and they, nor any other hardware store in our area carry anything but foot cords. We do appreciate the fact that Certified Appliance had the 10 ft. cord, It is a bit long, but it works thank you very much.

Works fine.
I live in an apartment where the laundry room has the washer and dryer facing in each other opposite walls. I wanted to stack my front load maytags but a 6' cord wont reach the other wall when on top of the washer. This reaches with a few inches to spare routing the cord along the wall with cable ties. Perfect.Conducts electricity.. longer than what was for sale at Lowe's.. $$

Please be careful with this.
Be warned: if you follow the wire colors to hook up a power cord to your dryer.... This doesn't have any color on the insulation. While most people should get it right because of how the wires are oriented, a mistake could cause you to put L1 or L2 to the cabinet ground. (Simple terms, electrocute anyone who touched the dryer after you plug it in)With an oversight like that I worry about where else cost was saved on this cord but it is working now. I will be keeping an eye on it for overheating (most common failure mode)That being said, it is working correctly now. The the stars are for not even including simple direction telling you which wires are which.
