Perfect for duck pond
I've been struggling with ball valves on my little duck pond. Messy duck water kept fouling the valves and they'd get stuck within a couple of weeks. This gate valve is the perfect solution. It has withstood messy duck water and hasn't stuck once. I do have to make sure there's no sediment in the bottom of the gate channel or it will not seal properly. But the solution turned out to be simple: turn on the garden hose and run clean water through while closing the valve. That prevents any crud from setting in that bottom gate channel. The valve installs easily on 2" PVC. I didn't use glue because the water isn't under much pressure. The fit was perfect. The valve has endured twice daily opening and closing with no problems. This thing has solved a million problems for my garden ducks' pond.
