The book came in a cardboard book type holder, absolutely awesome condition.The book itself is absolutely beautiful, color pictures shot by professional photographers. Not only does this have the photographs of the 2013 event, it also has old photographs, old drawings and of sailboats that were once used.I was there when Americas Cup was in San Francisco,I live in San Francisco and had to have this!

This is an amazing book. It has fabulous photos and great stories. But the most impressive item is the many special hand inserted treasures that lie within the pages. Sometimes it is a drawing. Other times, a letter. Plenty of great surprises. For anyone who wants to get closer to what it feels like to sail on a 65 foot cat that foils at 40 knots, this is a great way--without getting wet.

This is the most complete book about the America's Cup available. It has amazingly detailed inserts of charts, special post cards, promotional posters, and lots of other extras pasted throughout the book. The information is still relevant even though it only goes to the 2013 event. Buy this for the armchair or actual sailor in your life.

Any fan of the America's Cup must have this extraordinary book on their shelf.

This is a well written and illustrated book. There aren't too many detailed technical notes of the new boats (I'm an engineer), but otherwise a concise history of the America's Cup with lots of good photographs. They even promise a supplemental volume (I'm assuming a small booklet) further detailing the America's Cup Finals, to be shipped for free around the end of 2013.Very well worth the cost, after going through the book, I would have paid much more.

If you or someone you know is into sailing, this is a beautiful must-have book. Despite the waning interest in the America's Cup over the new rules and exceptionally high bar for entry, this book is beautifully photographed and presented. It covers the history, people and evolving technologies that have brought the America's Cup to where it is today.

The main reason for purchasing this book is that Bob Fisher, a friend lives next to my ancestral property in the south of England. I have a little experience in sailing so this purchase, now signed by the author is special in a personal way. I've only had a brief look on the inside but what an amazing book with copies of countless photos and original drawings. It will be a display item in my home and something to read in the cold winter months in Southern Ontario, Canada.

Unbeatable book in terms of pictures, technical details, memories and histories!! On a very strange hard copy you will discover the most involving race of human history on sea.
