Wild Costa Rica: The Wildlife and Landscapes of Costa Rica (Mit Press)

We saw this book in Costa Rica but waited to get a better deal on Amazon when we returned home. We LOVE it! It covers all of the major regions, their geography, climates, flora and fauna. The photos are stunning. It is a wonderful memory book and we keep it on our coffee table. We love to revisit the areas we saw, learn more about them, and enjoy the fabulous photos of the birds, animals and frogs we'd seen.

This is a coffee table book with many photos of the wildlife and natural settings of Costa Rica. The written narrative is adequate but not as complete as we've encountered in other books about the flora and fauna of Costa Rica. However, if you are interested in Costa Rica, or are planning to travel there, you would find this book quite informative.

--Purchased as a keepsake book for a couple going to Costa Rica for the first time. It contains beautiful pictures with helpful information for all parts of Costa Rica--the country and the wildlife. This is a lovely reminder of a trip that was taken, one that is being planned for the first time, or a return trip.

This book is excellent in every respect. Great pictures, very well written, high quality print. I can highly recommend it to anyone going to Costa Rica, or to anyone who is just interested in the nature of this country.

Beautiful Costa Rica is captured well in this book. It is a large hard cover and cannot be packed easily in a suitcase. It does however teach you about the wildlife, fauna and beauty of Costa Rica. Definitely recommend this book!

The photos in this book are sharp and there is a wide variety of animals and landscapes covered. I recently visited Costa Rica and this is an excellent keepsake to remind me of the trip.

This is great book! Fine photos and easily readable text. The book includes lots of facts about the fauna and flora of Costa Rica. I've visited three times in Costa Rica and this book rise up the memories of CR.
