Good but it didn't last long
I am going to give it five stars because the product works as expected. But the last one I had only lasted 1 1/2 years. I am stuck with this one because of the bracket is already mounted on the boat. But if this one goes bad again I am buying a different brand.

It will move a lot of water
A powerful pump that will move a lot of water, and last a long time. Ideal for building a high banker.

Don’t waste your money on this pump TRASH..
If I could give this pump 0 stars I would. I purchased this pump new in 2022 then again in end of 2023 to replace the one that failed from 2022 here it is again the beginning of boating season 2025 and this pump has failed yet again. If there is 1 hour total run time on this pump I’m giving it to much credit. There is absolutely no reason for this pump to fail internally it is completely sealed and still looks new yet like the other one it will not do anything. The bad part is now I am forced to replace it yet again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TRASH..

Fast but may fail from sea water.
I use this as an emergency pump on my boat. The pump worked well in testing, and after storage failed to operate. I believe seawater corroded the works for the pump. Johnson quickly replaced the pump with a brand new one. I will run fresh water through it after each use to avoid that corrosion. Johnson also provided some information concerning how to lube the pump with grease to avoid corrosion. The pump is strong and sturdily built.

Good price on a reliable pump
Quiet, high volume pump. Works great. Quick delivery. A pain to install on my Robalo because of the difficult access in the stern. Original pump lasted 11 years and I think failed because the float switch stuck open because of debris in the bilge. I'll be careful to keep it clean this time around.

Units lock up without use
I have 3 of these in my boat in various locations. I test them each spring and fall, and almost every year one of them has failed (impeller locked up and unable to move by hand or with a tool). My bilge is dry so these don't get any use whatsoever unless the unthinkable were to happen. I will probably start switching back to Rule after the next one inevitably fails, though I've had marginal success with Rule also.
