It might be a bit too early for me to review this product; I have only been using it for 3 days now but I am already noticing a difference in my energy levels. I was diagnosed with a severe vitamin D deficiency after a blood test. My doctor told me that was probably why I was tired all the time. I went to my local vitamin store to buy a bottle of vitamin D when I realized that even the regular tablets contained gelatin and lanolin. As a vegetarian, this really bothered me so I did some online research to find a better alternative. One blogger recommended this brand as a great vitamin D2 supplement. I realize there is a controversy over whether D2 is as effective as D3. I don't really know what is true but I do know how I feel after taking these pills. If I am already feeling this better after 3 days, I am really excited to see how I feel once it builds up in my system. In a couple of months after I have another blood test, I will return to report whether or not my vitamin D level has increased to an acceptable level.

My doctor put me on a large dose of vitamin D2 while pregnant since my levels were so low. I was very intrigued how it helped my mood (which makes sense, S.A.D. happens in winter-time from less sunshine and sunshine=vitamin D). Now that my levels are up from that prescription, I am keeping them up with this great product. I love how there are a few added things, especially the dandelion. When my mom was young it was her job to collect the dandelion leaves for her daily "dandelion drink" to keep the family healthy. :)I also like that this product is made in Utah, not that it's a guarantee of anything, but many high-quality products I've gotten were made there.

Good choice for vegans. Reading the other reviews reminded me that it's true, the pills don't smell particularly good. It's so easy to solve that problem, though. Don't laugh, I'm serious. Pinch your nose shut while you put the pill in your mouth, swallow it, and exhale. Only after you've exhaled should you let go of your nose. You won't smell a thing, and without smelll, you won't taste them either. Try it!

hasnt been enough time to reveiew this just started using

Too many people have a vitamin D deficiency and even when s/he do try to remedy the deficiency they do not take enough supplements to make a difference. VegLife makes it easy. I have been taking 6000 I.U.'s a a day and have raised my readings to normal... my doctor recently told me. Since I consume a plant based diet I knew my vitamin supplements should also be plant based. But most importantly for me, since swallowing pills is a struggle, I like that I only have take three not-so big pills with my fruit and almond milk shake in the morning.

I can't tolerate lanolin which MANY vit. D vitamins have so I am thankful for these.

easy to swallow and seen to work well

I have ordered these several times and have taken them for more than a year with no problem but with this last bottle, I noticed after I take them as directed, it feels like rocks in my belly and my stomach is upset for days afterward. I have almost a whole bottle left and it is far past the return window before I realized this happening. I don't know if the formula has changed or what exactly because I don't have an old bottle to compare. Has anyone else had this issue? I definitely won't order again. I gave 2 stars on ease to swallow because they are not huge like many vites. And yes I realize that a supp made with greens will have a "grassy" taste but these are horrible like seaweed, 1 star. Zero stars for value because there is no value if I can't tolerate them. My fault for not returning during the appropriate time but I stopped taking them regularly because of this problem and now I'm sure this is the issue.
