Authentic book on Oracle Fixed Assets
This is one of rare Oracle books in which author has shared lis lifetime experiences. In today's Oracle world no writer even ORACLE PRESS, wants to share experience otherwise oracle consulting will die... This book is written in perfect flow as author has written each sentence from his experience and very easy to understand.I do feel that if he has added one or two case studies that would have been great ( so gave only 4 stars).

A Navigational Aid, Not a Nautical Chart
Brian Bouchard has written a guided tour of the Oracle Assets user interface, with menu paths and form images of the various functionality in the application. Unfortunately, those who are looking for a deeper discussion of the ideas behind Assets, particularly with respect to accounting, depreciation, and sub-ledger accounting are advised to look elsewhere. Oracle Assets can be configured and managed in a wide variety of ways, and the Oracle User Guide documentation is rather vague and general. Bouchard has gone to the other end of the spectrum, which is "Here's how you get to this function, but you won't find here what the potential implications are." After many years supporting the Assets user community in a major corporation, I can say that what is really required is an in-depth discussion about getting Assets to work best in a wide variety of circumstances --- but that seems to be the realm of consultants.
