Q: I bough this to replace an identical one.. i was googling how to clean the other before replacing does anyone know how to clean this model?Instruction

I just got mines a couple of months ago, but maybe putting on a water filter to help filter out the water before it goes through the unit. Just my thoughts

You can use two 30 amps or one double throw 60 amp.

Q: I notice some listings and/or websites state only 1 x 6 awg is needed and others say 2 x 6 awg is needed. which is correct?

Wow, purpose of circuit breaker is to protect the conductor. If #6 wire (rated at 55 max) then the breaker should match and since 55a breakers are rare you'll use a 50a so the breaker will shut off before the conductor burns@!!!! Apparently official installers don't have to be licensed electricians.

Q: why is there a price difference between the green model and regular one of the same size

I don't know. Call the company, they are very responsive.
