My friend was stationed in Korea and really enjoyed the heat in the food there. I know that wasabi isn't just for Korea, but I wanted to give him something that would really give him a kick.He loves it. He didn't know that you could get it in powder form. I really like the resealable can too. It's not often that you see "old-fashioned" packaging. In other words, not plastic.It was really nice to be able to buy him something that will last a long time and make him so happy. He didn't know that it was available anywhere nearby. I told him that I hadn't gotten it locally, I got it on Amazon.I'm glad he's enjoying it. He's having more difficulty getting around these days and has medical conditions to deal with. So the little things matter more.

- we all had restaurant wasabi paste I hope, and we know how dull or okay it is.This product hits you a little faster, like holding rubbing alcohol to your nose so please don't poke a hole on the aluminum seal after removing the pop off lid with a spoon, and then continue to shake the powder out onto a surface with your face close to the powder. From a distance I could tell someone might do it.- So how simple is it to make?Just remove half the aluminum seal and dump how much you think you want and mix it with an equal amount of water to make your paste, mix it well. If you wanted the paste a little less moist just leave it for a minute or two to lose moisture but don’t let it sit there for like an hour.- Is it good?So if I compare it to a location’s fresh made wasabi, this product hits you faster in taste and I found myself eating a smaller portion of paste vs one that was made at a location. Taste that hits you sooner and you use less but the flavor profile has a minor distinct difference than what you’re used to, must be the substitutes being a larger portion than what I was hoping for but that’s if you get picky, it’s still a hard-hitting wasabi.- Would I buy it again?For the size and price tag, it’s nice to try or purchase it for a big dinner day on the go too but I wouldn’t buy this product twice, maybe once a year at best. If it was a regular mug size for under 20$ then we have an appealing idea.- How pig is the product?It’s an adorable 2.5 inch can, the powder it contains could fill a regular store-bought egg if you looked at it, honestly ya it’s small.- Would I recommend it to friends?If they want to buy their own but they aren’t getting any of my powder.- Final star rating in mind?4.8 stars for quality2.5 stars for amount/size(if you can read what’s on the label of the can then you don’t need an eye exam)
