GPS Navigator Anti Reflective Sun Shade for 5 Inch GPS

I installed this on my Garmin and while the description showed that it should fit, it is actually a little too small. When it is on my Garmin Nuvi, it does shade the screen, but it also covers the screen edges. This isn't a problem until I need to use the touch screen under the protector edges. It works well enough, but I'd consider getting a larger one that also had a longer top shade.

I was having problems at certain times of the day with reflection on my Garmin GPS. Luckly, I fould the Navigator Sun Shade which clips on to the unit (spring loaded clip across the upper back). In reading some of the reviews on the various sun shades there were complaints about how flimbsy some of the shades attached to the GPS, even to the point of them shifting their position while traveling or touching the unit and the shade all but came off of the GPS; in other words a poor attachment method. I bought this unit primarily because of the strong spring loaded clip that affixes it to the GPS.I just got it today, but like a little kid with a new toy, i put it on the GPS and took a test drive. I tend to be particular, but was very pleased on how firm it was attached to the GPS and how well it did what it is designed to do. This unit is doing all I want it to do, on it's short time in my possession. It costs a little more than other units, but i feel this is the so-called Cadillac of the line. At this point, I couldn't be more pleased and have NO problem in highly recommending this unit.

Fits well and does it's job. The only negative is that it makes the off button difficult to reach. Other than that, I'm glad I bought it.

I have a GARMIN NUVI 1450LMT 5 inch GPS on a dashboard mount. On a recent trip, the sun happen to be at such an angle that it made the screen very difficult to read. I found this shade for very little cost. ($7.50 prime). NOW ... first of all it is very cheaply made, a bit on the flimsy side and the clip pivots will eventually have to be replaced. Why the five stars? IT WORKS, IT DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. It survived being shipped in a poly bag with NO protection. It clips onto the top of the Garmin very easily and and can even be moved enough to maximize the view of the screen. I thought the shade's clip might interfere with top of the Garmin mount (which clips onto the Garmin top center), but it works with no problem. I was pleasantly surprised that an inexpensive shade would work so well.

This is an inexpensive product so making a statement about quality etc. doesn't mean much. However, with a Dremel or file and a lighter you can bend or shape this as you like - doesn't take much heat to do the job! This is my Furrion trailer camera monitor, the shade fits quite well after a lil' redneck engineering.

The hood on this item is much too shallow, quite often the sunlight thru the windshield still hits the screen. Another inch or so out and it would have been better. Also the way it clips on to a Garmin makes it more difficult to click the onscreen buttons on the side of the Garmin interface because it overlaps them somewhat. Not bad, but should have been better.

Four weeks ago I ordered one for the GPS in my car. I wanted it before taking a one week road trip. I was so pleased with how it worked that I ordered another one for my wife's car as soon as we got home.
