It came in a little baggie holding the cord, without too much protecting it, however it would be unnecessary to do more than that, so no issues there. It works as expected. Can transfer data reliably, keeps a steady connection, and does whatever you need for items that use this kind of port. It's about as durable as you'd expect, slightly on the thicker side, but no more than a laptop charger cable. I like this black cable for it's price, however without prime made the shipping somewhat slow.

My dell monitor offers four USB ports. This cable used one laptop USB port to the monitor. Now I have many ports for wireless mouse and keyboard and DVD drive. Works great. Monitor does need to be on for ports to work.
