It keeps Peel Away moist for best stripping results
A must for Peel Away so spend the money and get your best results. Unfortunately sanding will mostly be involved but this system cuts down on it.

Makes paint stripping so much quicker and easier
I forgot to take pics of the “during” process with the paper actually on it! But you can still see how well it did. I used this paper along with Dumond SmartStrip as a VOC /low environmental impact way of stripping the paint off a coffee table I got a a thrift store. Not sure how this paper would work with other paint strippers, but it was PERFECT to use with the SmartStrip. I don’t have a basement or a workshop, so I have to do everything in my living space, and having the paper to put on after applying the paint stripper paste was great - it kept it from being messy, protected my cats when they decided to jump on it, and kept the stuff from drying out so it actually worked faster and more efficiently. It also helps when you’re ready to take the stripped paint off, since most of it sticks to the paper as you pull it up, it does a lot of the work for you! Minimal scraping... Highly, highly recommend this paper as well as the SmartStrip.

It works!
I live in a house built 40+ years ago. The kitchen counters are made of local spruce. I cook a lot. So they have taken a lot of abuse over the years. The Smart Strip and Dumond paper makes the job so much easier. I put it the stripper on, covered with the paper, at night and peel the paper back in the morning and the stripper and the old finish come up easily with a palette knife or other scrape. Only draw back to the papers is that you end up with more than you will ever need. I passed them and my second pot of SmartStrip to a friends who needed to do her kitchen. These products are not available in my town in less than 1 gallon pot (the stripper) and the paper not at all. So grateful.

Wasn't fun but it worked
Stripped a plaster bathroom ceiling with it, 70 years worth of paint. Initially took the latex layers off easily, the original oil primer and oil finish coats were a bit more stubborn.

Doesn't work for its intended purpose, but could still help
I've used this on multiple occasions, in different types of locations with different types of paint. It has never peeled any paint up. None. BUT - it will keep any paint remover moist for a long time, even at times greater than 24 hours. That means I'm only doing one coat of remover. So I use it still in places with several layers of paint, and therefore use less remover. So it works for that, but it doesn't do the thing it claims.

Worth It
I thought this would be a waste of money and stripped a stain/seal off the woodwork in an entire room before I broke down and bought this paper. It made stripping the extensive woodwork in my house SO MUCH EASIER. The stripper worked better, and it was much cleaner to use. If you’re using Demond’s paint stripper, spend the xtra money and get this paper!

My best tool for 100 year old paint.
This paper, used in conjunction with the professional smartstrip (also Dummond) produces amazing results. It worked so well on our 100+ year old front porch posts that we decided to strip all of the paint off of the interior staircase and my husband has already lined up more stripping projects. It’s good stuff!

You definitely need this is you are trying to remove paint from brick. I left it up 24 hours …. Then removed it … and with a wire brush and lots of elbow grease the paint came off… I think you might be able to get away with cellophane or some other film …. First time using the product… so I wanted to use the recommended “paper” …. And it comes in big sheets so easier to work with
