I love you little hole puncher!!!!
I teach high school and three hole punching is a must have. Several years ago, I was in a major car accident and I broke my "hole punching arm" (left) real bad. Lately, the plates in my arm have been giving me trouble and this seemingly easy task has been tear jerking. I looked for an electric hole puncher and those I found were out of my budget, until I found this one. I cannot tell you how happy I am with this purchase! It is a one button push and my gosh how pain relieving this is for me on a daily basis!!!!! It works perfectly every time!!! I like the fact that I can use batteries or plug it in. Sometimes I go to a student's desk to help them get organized and can just take it with me. Other times, it's just fine plugged in. I did jam it once (purely my fault) and a couple pushes of the button and it unjammed itself. How's that for special?!?! I highly recommend this product for the quality product and affordable price.

Works great.
Works great! as others have said don't overload it. Its pretty obvious when youre trying to overload it because the papers don't slide in smoothly. If you try to force them it will jam. If used properly it works well makes clear holes and they are always lined up. It definitely beats any manual hole puncher ive ever used. I love the fact that it can work on batteries as well as being plugged in so I have flexibility in where I use it. I just wish the capacity were a little larger

Love this! Gets a workout in my classroom and no issues.
Soooo much easier and better than a manual hole punch. My students use it and because it is electric they don't mash it like they would a manual hole punch. A light press on the front top of the hole punch and wow!. Only downside might be that there are no guides for exact punches on multiple sets of papers. Doesn't bother me and I've worked that out. Wish I had purchased one sooner. By the way, I have one for home and one for my classroom.

Perfect ... except it's louder than I anticipated.
I wish I could give this 5 stars, but it's a bit louder than I would prefer. It's decidedly not "whisper quiet". On the other hand, it does an amazing job. It makes very quick work for all my hole punching needs. Because I was able to put a larger amount of paper into it, I was able to hole punch a 400 page document with ease and it only took a few minutes to accomplish. The choice of using a cord or batteries is an absolute plus. I love it so much I donated my manual hole punch!

GET ONE YESTERDAY ( UPDATE - 06 Sept 2019 )
Rarely do I write product reviews because most products are just O.K? However on that rare occasion when I do run across what I feel is an exceptional item, I will speak out. The Swingline Optima 20 Electric Paper Punch deserves my recognition.I was killing my hands and wrist punching holes for my binders. I started looking on the “net” for a solution and came across the Swingline product on Amazon. I read the reviews. Some good, some…not so much!It wasn’t cheap, but then I don’t usually buy cheap. I figured for what they were asking, it better be decent. Well, I am here to tell you, it’s more than decent. Not only is it well design but it looks good, so far for me it is working flawlessly. All I can tell you is that the folks having problems with this hole puncher have not read the instructions, or they could have gotten a defect. S**t happens! Twenty (20) pages is its maximum, not 30, 40 or anything else you try to shove in it. And I don’t need it to be adjustable.I’ve had mine about a month, and it works like a hot knife through butter. One person complained because they still had to press the top. ROFLMAO! I don’t need them to try and put in an electric eye and jack up the price to $200.A two year old can press that puppy! Get one and save yourself some work. Can’t believe I haven’t gotten one long ago.TJPS: I am updating this review and attaching two photos. Swingline has updated this "punch", model 74520. I received the one on the left which is not shown on Amazon yet. It was delivered from OfficeMax which I understands gets Swinglines newest first. IMHO this new design is even better, especially for the poor folks that still have to push down on the top! Another reviewer said it was too loud…really? LOL! Get one feel the relief!

At long last
This is such a simple concept ,and easy to use I like the feature that it can run on batteries for easy transportation from place to place, and that the product also comes with it's own power adapter, if you prefer. I am able to punch 10 sheets of paper using batteries ( AA ) with no problem at all, simple slide the paper to be punched into punch and press one button. You can punch one hole if you place your paper on the right end of the punch. Like the factor that the bottom of the punch is incased in clear plastic so you can see when you need to empty it through the trap door provided. Maybe only down side is that the unite is made up of mostly plastic, don't no the average life of the unit.Would recommend this product.
