Our Ax Suede palm on this cycling glove feels like real leather, but offers the ease of care and four-way stretch only possible with a synthetic. The result is a glove with exceptional fit and even better durability. The 3D-shaped gel pads provide targeted comfort and eliminate bulk, making it easier to hold a bar or grip.

Best gloves I've purchased.
I have burned through quite a few pair of gloves since I started riding. I am a frequent rider and a bike commuter and I have tried every pair of gloves imaginable. I have settled in on the Pearl Izumi Elite. Great fit, good comfort, durable but even when I've worn these out I think they fit better and are more comfortable than most of the other brands. I ride so much the color is gone from both my red and yellow ones but the pads are still good and the comfort is there so who cares. If you are new to riding give it a decent shot by making a good decision on everything that touches the bike, your gloves and shorts. It's going to be different and there are days your hands and butt will hurt but it won't be near as bad with a quality set of gloves.

Not my lost gloves.
I replaced a lost pair of spenco iron man gloves which, unfortunately, are no longer made. . I have had surgery on both hands so was a bit concerned about what was out there for gloves, my last pair were awesome.I am a large medium so these gloves are a bit on the tight side but not uncomfortably so. The padding is generous but feels kind of hard and not placed in just the right spot. I have ridden 20 miles with them and they are ok but I am hoping they will break in a bit.An update:I've been using these gloves daily for a little, ver a week now. The padding has started to conform to my hands and positioning and are more comfortable and no longer have a real bulky feel. They are still a bit tight but that is something that is not so bothersome. So all in all I am satisfied with my purchase.

average quality does not justify premium price
I used a pair of pearl izumi gloves for a long time, and they finally gave out. I bought these as replacements, and it seems they have cut some corners on these gloves compared to the ones I owned previously. Much thinner padding and the padding feels more stiff, I liked the supple padding on the old gloves better... stitching and materials also do not feel the same quality as my previous pair. Still decent gloves, but I think a bit over priced for the quality.

Good gloves - needed to go larger for good fit.
Nice and light. Plenty of protection and breathable.FIT is smaller than expected! I usually wear medium gloves, but these I had to go large. Medium was a bit too snug. Large was just right.

Elite: Worse than the cheaper Select gloves - why?
I'm really confused by these 'Elite' gloves. The 'Elite' line is supposed to be better than the 'Select' line, but for me, the 'Select' gloves are much, much better. More/Better padding == Comfort! These 'Elite' gloves barely have any padding compared to the 'Select'. I can ride much further with the 'Select' gloves before I start getting hand numbness than I can with the 'Elite'. Very strange.

Not good for road bikes
I rode 60km on my road bike with these gloves and my hands hurt the entire time. The space between the two palm pads is exactly where I place my hand on the handle bar and brake hood, and is therefore not cushioned. Maybe they will work on a mountain bike or flat handlebar but I will be returning them. Quality was good and size was a bit large.

Gloves serve a purpose.
Gloves are gloves...they serve a purpose. In case you fall, you wipe sweat, to pad your hands on the handle bars. These do fit tighter than some XL gloves I've had, but not horrible. Others reviewed these and said that their hand got a little numb from wearing these. I've found if your hands are numb, you are leaning way too much on your handle bars and not using your core muscles to hold yourself up. I like these, but you way want to go up a size.

Appear to be a good replacement for PEARL IZUMI PRO Gel Vent Glove
Note: This review is tentative, since I have had a chance to ride many rides with these gloves, yet. These look more robust than the vent version that seems to have been discontinued. Instead of the mesh, the gel pads are completely enclosed with leather. I really liked the PRO Gel Vent Glove, but could never get more that 30-50 rides out of a pair without the gel pockets ripping. These are just as comfortable and look well-made. After a few dozen rides, I will revisit this review if I experience same durability problems that the vented version had.

Lovely and plump!
Snug fit, but extremely comfortable. Done a lot of miles already and they're very good

Good value for the $.
Very good gloves , I generally wear a men's large and these fit true to size. They are comfortable and provide excellent performance on rides of any length. Foam padding on palms is well placed and does the job. The only issue I have with these gloves is Pearl Izumi's interpretation of gel . I have had other gloves that actually have small "gel" pockets as padding in the palms and was expecting the same for these gloves but that is not the case, the padding is a dense foam which is comfortable but not as comfortable as actual gel. So if you think you are actually getting "gel" padded gloves you are not. Other than that I am happy with the gloves and would buy again.

Muy buenos
Se sienten de muy buena calidad, además me salieron casi a la mitad del precio de los que puede uno comprar en las tiendas de bicicletas. Los acojinamientos de gel son más o menos abultados y era lo que yo buscaba, me quedan perfecto.
