I am satisfied with the 1101
I am satisfied with the 1101, I did prefer the earlier product because it was much smaller and would easily fit into my wife's purseThe 1101 is larger and has a lot more power for the taser .

Cheap, cheap, cheap and not as pictured.
Not as pictured. Mine is almost twice the size and has a different model number.Mine is defective too, sparks come out the side instead. These also ship in green, black, and silver, randomly, so if you are looking for a specific color, go elsewhere.

OK flashlight; Not sure about the stun part.
Admittedly, we didn't get this on Amazon but my wife brought this little toy home the other day, so naturally I became curious. Overall, I applaud her and any other woman's decision to take better measures to protect themselves. The question is...is this the right tool for the job? Hopefully we'll never have to find out, but I'm not fully convinced on the capability of this low priced stun gun. However, it beats throwing rocks at an assailant, I guess..The light itself is decently sized, enough to get a good grip on it and it certainly feels lighter than it looks. The controls are pretty straight forward, push the large button forward to activate the lights one and only brightness setting. It is claimed to be 150 lumens but realistically after some comparison it looks more like 100-130 lumens. The beam is a very cool white tint, which I am typically not a fan of because it gives a very artificial and unnatural look when using it at night. Almost like those obnoxious fluorescent lights that so many places have. It is decently bright but not really the hue I like in a light. The beam is what I like to call a donut shape. Round, defined edges of floody light with a small focused bright spot in the middle. Good for lighting up larger areas to provide a bit of spread and then a bright spot in the middle.Overall, the light is a decent balance of casting a wide beam while offering a more focused spot in the center to fully illuminate a target. It is clear and no artifacts were seen in the light. For the stun gun aspect of it, you engage the switch on the tail end and press the smaller button on the opposite side as the light switch. You cannot engage the light and the stun switch at the same time it seems like. While holding the stun switch down, it does emit a pretty intimidating crackle, it certainty scared our dogs senseless and I would think even in some situations enough to deter an attacker, by sound alone. The prongs of the stun gun are on the strike bezel (front end) of the light and produce a bluish spark. While the unit is quite light, a smack with the jagged strike bezel in the right area is another last resort option, too.I am not entirely certain how effective it's stun might be, I've read mixed reviews on the subject and I'm a little weary of how this low end unit might perform, but it is better than nothing and at least acts as a mediocre light with a menacing crackle to it.Edit - My wife briefly tested the stun feature on me and it did hurt. Just a quick jab to my forearm and I immediately pulled away like I just stuck my finger in an electrical outlet. It left a small circular burn mark as well. On bare skin I would say it is a useful deterrent.
