Bought this upon recommendation from my ENT specialist. I had just experienced my third ear infection in a short time frame and needed to be more proactive with managing my ear health. Dr. suggested I wear these to stop my ears from getting wet for a month so they could heal; I was to dab a cotton ball with Vaseline and insert inside the ear with the covers acting as a little vacuum seal. They worked wonderfully! As you can see in the photo, after my shower the covers remained on snuggly and there was very little water along the seal. I still suggest keeping these away from direct water (I tilted my ears when showering) as they aren’t foolproof but they’re still worth buying.One thing I’d like to note, I know these are a couple of dollars more than the small brands from China listed here on Amazon but I’d like to think the price difference is somewhat worth it. Maybe the plastic used is slightly better or there’s a higher standard of quality control? Not sure but since plastic is coming into contact with high heat (shower) that’s something to consider. If shower liners release toxic chemicals in the air when heated, I can only imagine what bad quality plastic does...

I colour my own hair and find these INDISPENSABLE!It prevents hair dye from getting inside the ear cavity and staining of the outer ear skin and lobes. Dark Brown hair dye leaves, smudgy unforgiving stains. Trust me, I know - I've got hair-dye spots I vaingloriously try to pass off as 'beauty' spots in the vein of Dita Von Teese. No such luck...HELPFUL HINTS: -You need to keep checking them WHILE colouring as they occasionally get loose and slip off.BEFORE COLOURING, I apply an emollient oil (Aquaphor, lip balm, Vaseline - even Olive Oil*) inside & all over my ears so any rogue droplets of colour are easy to remove.Sally Beauty Supply tell me they no longer sell these in store which is why I'm buying them here.Those black plastic cup things are next-to-useless. These Color Trak protectors are not foolproof but it's a helluva lot better than using nothing, right? This is very useful for those of us who tint our own hair. I've been using them for years and I'm never without them. Ever.Long may they continue to make these - I won't colour my hair without these nifty little ear condoms.

These do not stay on well-enough for me. I shower and had broken/perforated my eardrum. The md said to keep water out of it. Shampooing could not be avoided. These are designed (I think) for hairdressers to use when they wash a client's hair in the sink and then dye it. This procedure would not have water running into your face and right under the ear cover. The ear is flat in front and obviously there is nothing for the ear cover to cling to. To be fair, these are promoted for hair dying and I used them because I had to have something in order to wash my hair! They are not promoted for that purpose. I was just desperate.

I've used this product for several years. The covers prevent hair dye from staining the skin on my ears. However, since I have very small ears, I use a bit of medical tape to stick them to my skin near the cheek; this helps keep them from coming off in case I bump my ears while dying my hair. I really like this product.

I recently had a surgical procedure called tympanoplasty to repair a ruptured eardrum. I could not get my ear wet after surgery, which presents a problem when you need to wash your hair. These really help to keep the ear dry (for extra protection, put a cotton ball in your ear first and seal the edges with vaseline, then put the ear protector over that). Great product.

I bought this product because I can't stand to have water in my ears when I take a shower/wash my hair so I needed something to good to cover them. I tried ear plugs but that didn't work so I read reviews from other people about these protectors and decided to give them a try. All in all, a very good product. I no longer have water in my ears and they do stay and you get a lot in the package. You can reuse them so these will last a long time which makes the price even better. I'd recommend these to anyone.

Material is very soft, & doesn’t hold on ear.

Son buenos, pero para utilizarlos en niñas es un poco complicado ya que son grandecitas para las orejas de niñas. De lo demás super.

A little flimsy but did the job of protecting my ears from the hair color. However if you’re not careful they can be easily dislodged. They do not hold up against water during the hair wash.
