Influencer is an excellent book that is not like the basic influence ideas that you may have read by Cialdini, Susan M. Weinschenk, or others. It is far more altruistic, engrossing, and motivating! While reading Influencer I found so many "Aha!" moments that have already helped me to work around current issues at home and in the workplace. The true stories of hard work and overcoming difficult situations resonated well with me, and reinforced the idea that "leading with story" is truly one of the best influence methods. The ideas of clear and measurable goals, making things very personal and "story-like", finding high leverage behavior, thinking through and rewarding the correct behavior, and changing the environment provide so many various tools and methods that anyone can choose from to use.Influencer reinforces that it is vital to deeply research and map out an effective influence plan so that you do not become associated with having the scattered "idea of the month" club to others. The two-page Influencer Worksheet on the website is a simple, yet excellent mapping tool.The only comment that I had on Influencer is the link on page 298 on my kindle version is influencerhook.com and not influencerbook.com.I highly recommend Influencer for a quick and yet very effective read. In addition to Influencer, I also recommend the lessons learned and methods I've put into practice through Crucial Conversations and Crucial Confrontations also by the authors. These methods work, and they are both life and career saving if you are willing to read, re-read, practice, and commit to continued action.

All changes are hard to get implemented and to stick, but they are also hard to analyze, get the right change identified and then plan the correct change effort. This book explains the underlying behaviors that needs to be identified and how to influence these powers to work in the direction to support the change so it is inevitable.The book is light to read, full of great examples, good explanations and basically a recipe for how to analyze, plan and execute change programs using the influencing powers. Nothing really revolutionary but a good book to have read for anyone who want to get the changes they see necessary to stick. Equally good for both novices and expert change agents as well as executives that schools support the changes and the organization.

It has some amazing stories that are woven throughout the book. Very nice book for people interested in Change Management and how to encourage good behaviors

I heard this book first on audible and it’s messages really stayed with me so two years later I purchased the kindle edition so I could read it. I loved all the storytelling and it shows how versatile the influencer model is to be able to influence so many different situations in so many places. You won’t be bored. It’s fascinating
