OtterBoxHTC M8 COMMUTER SERIES Case - Retail Packaging - Radiant Purple

I've had the case for 2 months and just as good as the day I bought it.Pros: Protects the phone well (verified by a few waist high, accidental drops). Phone fits very snug in case, the is a pro unless you like the kind of case that explodes when you drop it. Case doesn't interfere with any functionality, not even the IR blaster (I tested it). Has a protective flap that covers charging port and headphone jack. The case actually looks good around your phone. The case is built up around the on/off button, preventing accidental discharge.Cons: The included screen protector didn't work out for me (way too many bubbles). Could have been user error Sometimes a pain to get out of the case Sometimes a pain to get INTO the case. Can't throw my phone from on top of my house in the case (wouldn't trust it from that high) The flap that protects the ports will put SOME pressure on headphone jack and your charging cable. But if you're using the HTC charging cable it won't be an issue (if you've plugged that baby in your phone you know what I'm talking about, that thing is solid).The bottom line: It's a great case for the money. Sure, you could buy a cheaper case but you'll probably sacrifice the quality. The case doesn't impede functionality of the phone or any of its buttons/features. No, you probably shouldn't take your phone to war in this case, probably why it's call an Otterbox COMMUTER and not Otterbox Wartime case.Thanks for reading

I bought this case based on previous experience with Otterbox cases, meaning they have saved my hind end plenty of times. The colors match to the photos, and this case on the Gunmetal Gray HTC One M8 looks fantastic. When I ordered this case I saw the reviews saying that the case doesn't fit right, but after some monkeying around with it I see what they were talking about. All that it is is the flap which covers the charging port and the auxiliary port needs to be pulled out from underneath the hard plastic cover, and everything falls into place like it should.This case is durable and still provides full functionality of the device. One question that I had before I bought it was about the IR Blaster function, and I am happy to report that the power button on the top of the device is left exposed with a beveled edge to allow full functionality of the IR Blaster. The edges of the case around the screen provide protection when placed face down, but still leaves plenty of room for all of the screen functions. Fantastic product, would recommend/buy again.

**EDIT**After reading all the reviews about the bottom corners not fitting I still decided to give it a shot...1)people it's not hard..put the case on the bottom first then pull up on the port cover and it snaps right into place! so stop saying they sent the wrong case..2) the case is awesome and protects the phone the way it should and looks great doing it 3) the seller was AWESOME! I orders on the 1st and had my case by the 6th!!..definitely give the Commuter a shot if you need a great case with less bulk than the Defender.. It's awesome!...Also for those wondering about or complaining about the lack of power button cover..its done for two reasons.. 1) it keeps the phone from turning on in your pocket/purse and 2) it gives away to find the power button without having to look at it

attractive. lightweight, fits great. I have always used the Otterbox defender as I drop my phone constantly. This one has held up well so far. I have dropped my phone many times since getting it and no damage at all to my phone. I love the lighter weight and slimmer profile of the commuter over the heavy and bulky defender.

Recently, I repaired my old HTC One M8 and gave it to my kid. Obviously, a bare HTC One M8 is basically a bar of soap and I didn't want the device broken and in need a repair again. Having worked in cellphone sales and repair, I remembered Otterbox and how expensive, but durable the cases used to be, so finding this case in the perfect color (for the kid) at $5 was really amazing.It includes those old school plastic screen protectors (installed it because why not) and has a flap at the bottom of the case to cover the USB port that's probably going to wear out, get super flappy and fall off, but that's okay. This thing will definitely keep the phone in one piece for another decade.I'm happy paying $5 and my kid is happy to have a phone with a teal case.

recieved- 29 November 2015I had a difficult time whether to choose from the Commuter series and the Defender series, but I decided to go with the Commuter/black due to the reviews of Defender being too bulky.pro: comes with complimentary screen protector, fits perfectly snug onto phone, simple installation, rubber bumper gives user a more confident grip on the phone, button cutouts align perfectly, does not completely block the IR laser function, goes perfectly with my tempered glass screen protector, color is as shown, dust resistantcon: back cover makes your hands feel clammy, a tad bit bulky, does not appeal to my Fm radio transmitter (case is blocking jack from going in all the way lol)Otherwise this case serves its purpose. I am one to drop my phone way too much but it suits my needs. For all the ignorant reviewers saying it doesn't fit, it fits. They do not know how to put the case on correctly. The charging port/earphone jack cover needs to be fully pulled/pushed out so that it's flush with the case (ledge to ledge).additional info:if you want the case to last, take it off your phone and clean it here and there (1-2 times every 2-3 weeks up to you).clean your phone before putting case on as well. I will update this review sooner or later.

un protector totalmente con un solo fin, solo proteger, con este case puedes estar tranquilos de las caídas que pueda sufrir tu HTC, estará muy bien protegido, sin embargo le aumenta bastante grosor al teléfono y puede llegar a ser tedioso para la gente que lleva su celular en los pantalones.

This case arrived quickly and was easy to install. The bottom rubber guard took a bit of examination to realize that I had to pull it out a bit for it to fully clear the plastic. After that, there were no issues. The case feels solid and secure with no loose or fragile parts.

Bought one (blue/grey), it was flawed. The bottom right corner didn't fit properly on either the rubber case nor the shell. Screen protector wouldn't stick in the corners either. It was returned, easily - Thank you Amazon! - and I ordered a second, largely because I need something like this but also because, although there were reviews with issues, any review that got a 2nd one - seemed to be fine. Must be a bad batch, or something. And I am glad I did. Got the purple/grey. A better $, (it's more pink than purple but meh - it's a phone case) and it fits perfectly. No issues with lifiting, no issues with trying to charge with the case one - that works fine too. Extremely happy - and saved like $50 buying on Amazon lol. Who can say no to that :)

This has been on my phone for a few months now and it's great. It's easy to open the flap to charge my phone, and the power and volume buttons work perfectly. I do wish I didn't have to remove the whole case whenever I want to access the memory card but it's my ONLY complaint. I previously used a dot view case and this protects my phone so much better, and is holding up to daily wear better. I definitely recommend otterbox.
