Bought to replace a plastic X10 loupe, I wanted something a bit more robust to help with my interest in electronics repair. I use this for assisting in skelf (wood / cut) injuries experienced when I work in my workshop and for the grandkids who also do minor injuries to themselves when in the garden. A scratch to the lens on the former loupe (which was plastic) rendered it practically useless - this eyepiece is considerably better built and has proved its worth already. Recommended!

Better than I expected for the money!A well made metal lupe (×10) in its own case and with slits in the side to let in extra light and help prevent misting.Recommended.

Utter nonsense, not X10 magnification not even X1 it merely allows you to focus on closer items, not magnify them. STEER CLEAR there are cheaper but far better products. I think the positive reviews are confusing its ability to allow you to see clearly at a closer range with the non present actual magnification.

Unfortunately this loupe has no wire support to help keep it up to your eye so unless you have a magically sticky eye socket you have to use a free hand. The focus range is also very limited and you need to be within a few centimetres of the object you are trying to see before it comes into focus. If your sticky eye socket isn’t going to give you problems them your bent over double back just might!

I needed a decent magnifier to use hands-free for threading needles, removing splinters etc; and this is just the job. Quality of the lens is good, and the body is a light alloy as per the description.As others have mentioned, it's not absolutely the easiest thing to keep in your eye, but I managed to fix that by looping an elastic band through the ventilation slots.Very happy with this.

After two uses the paint around the rim has broken up in places making it uncomfortable to use. The rim is also to big (38mm) to make it easy to grip against the eye.
