Ullman MX Magnetic Base Rectangular Inspection Mirror, 3-1/2" Length x 2-1/8" Width

The reason for the 3 star review is that my particular mirror assembly arrived in two pieces. The mirror stem should have been spot welded to the mirror casing but mine wasn't, it was stamped but the arc never fired. (kind of ironic since I bought it as a welding mirror).. I got a full credit from Amazon for the product. Otherwise it's a decent quality mirror that I would much rather purchase in person after visually inspecting.

One of the handiest tools in my box. Has a very strong magnet. Easy adjustment.

Feels incredibly cheap but its functional.

I'm not super impressed with this mirror .. It's ok .. But it's such a specific item .. What can you do?

It says it has a magnetic base but it isn't magnetic. The base has enough weight to sit still but it won't stick to anything.It's got this orange lever on the side that doesn't do anything but move side to side. No impact on magnetism angle or anything.Usually a flexible arm like this will have wing nut on some of the arms but there aren't any.Add that to a really short arm and it's pretty useless. I may return it or not, I'm not sure. But I am really disappointed in every feature except the mirror itself.

The articulating arm is good quality and holds a set where you position it. The magnetic base is strong enough to hold onto any metal surface but the gripping power is effected by how thick the metal is that you are placing it on, like most magnets. The downside is the quick release, I just don't see this lasting with use, or if you drop it on that side its all over. The surround and quick release is made of flimsy plastic I guess to keep the cost down, I would rather pay more and get a better plastic enclosure and release. Overall I expect this to work as described with little problems. I would recommend buying one.
