Super great product!
My dog, Amy, was given a two-week prognosis after being on I V fluids at the vet's office for five days. She was literally a sick puppy. She did not enjoy the rice mixture that I was advised to feed her and eventually stopped eating it. A friend, whose dog had had a similar kidney problem, suggested this and the canned food. Six months later...so far, so good. I am reordering and can't recommend it highly enough. Just as an FYI, a little salmon on the dry food works well also. Kidney-problem dogs get upset tummies, so there is a little trial and error involved to find what satisfies them without upsetting their digestion.

Only food that works for my dog with IBS
My poor dog has suffered from IBS for years. I've been through everything--even making food myself--and for him, this does the trick. Plus, it's made with high-quality ingredients and he actually likes it!

Not 30#
Advertised as 30# but only 16.5, so it’s $3.21/lb and it’s listed as less than $2 per pound. There is no way to contact the seller or Amazon about this. It’s good food, but barely less than prescription diet and totally FALSELY ADVERTISED AS INEXPENSIVE WHEN ITS ACTUALLY NEARLY TWICE THE LISTED COST

Tasty food
I've tried many a healthy, all natural or organic dog food and my dog usually HATES them. She likes this one! Who knew? Will buy again.

Good for GI issues
I decided to try this food for my APT, who was having intermittent diarrhea. I initially thought it was related to NSAIDs, as she needs them daily for arthritis. At wits end, I tried stopping the NSAIDS as a last resort, as I also tried MANY supplements and changed her food, with still no signs of her loose stools resolving. Chicken and rice helped the most, but I knew she couldn't stay on it forever. My dog's only symptom was diarrhea. Her appetite and energy were normal (both over the top) and she would have formed stools as often as diarrhea. Her weight remained unchanged. At the time I switched to Dave's dry food, I was feeding our dog Blue Buffalo Basics Salmon dry food and white fish wet food. I didn't realize these were grain free, as I was focused on the "basic" part of the food. In chatting with a vet, I learned that sometimes grain free diets in dogs can lead to intermittent diarrhea. After much research of good quality and affordable dog food for sensitive systems, I came across Dave's Pet Food and decided to try it. Within a month our dog was back to having consistent formed stools, even while taking her NSAIDS. I would highly recommend this food for dogs with sensitive systems and GI issues.
