Motul 100951 100% Synthetic Brake Dot 5.1 Brake Fluid 500 ml - 4 Pack

I use this on my RAM diesel truck, and it works phenomenal. I flush my brake fluid every other year and I like to use performance fluids on my brakes. I switched from DOT 3 to DOT 5.1 and the braking difference in the pedal is night and day. One thing to really note, the higher the DOT value, the more you need to stay on top of brake flushes as DOT 5.1 for example is very hydroscopic. Keep that in mind if you go from standard DOT 3 to this higher DOT 5.1, you will need to do brake flushes more often. For brake flushes, I use a pneumatic brake vacuum starting from the right rear going around to the finishing at the front driver's side. Two bottles is enough to do a good flush of an existing DOT 5.1 system, if you are changing from DOT 3 or DOT 4, you'll want at least 3 to 4 bottles to make a good flush as well as using a scan tool to actuate the ABS bleed function a few times.

Pricey little bottles of fluid, but when it comes to brakes on your car, you want the best. And I think this product ranks very high in the quality list of brake fluid. This will mix well and compatible with DOT 3,4, and 5.1.Do NOT ever mix DOT 5 with DOT 3,4, or 5.1!DOT 5 brake fluid is a very different substance and not compatible with 3, 4, or 5.1.And by the way, all DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 are, and have always been fully synthetic, forever. Don’t pay extra for a brake fluid that says it’s synthetic expecting it to be better…..they are all synthetic.

This is an excellent DOT 5.1 brake fluid for your DOT 3 and 4 cars. It takes about 1L for a complete brake fluid flush per car (even more if you have a manual transmission due to the hydraulic clutch).I use these Motul DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid for all of my cars and use their Motul RBF 700 for my motorcycles.Motul is highly-regarded amongst car and motorcycle enthusiasts as one of the top providers of high-quality lubricants for your cars and motorcycles, and they have been using their research through prestigious racing programs (LeMans, F1, MotoGP, etc.) to improve their consumer products (unlike the cheaper unknown brands).Also, Motul is a French company. It is NOT German as another reviewer has incorrectly stated.

I flushed my Mustang’s brakes with this prior to my last track day. It did not fade with the hard driving on the track or the street! Excellent product!

Better than DOT 4, but cheaper than the racing 660 if you don’t need that level.

Still working on the car, but Motul is a quality brand. I do not anticipate any issues with this brake fluid.

Flushed factory brake fluid and replaced with Motul, 35K miles on the odo; 2017 2SS Camaro, Brembo brakes. Wow, what a difference! Much firmer brake pedal engagement at top of pedal travel, where it should be. Much firmer and more balanced braking from easy normal traffic to aggressive track. My auto cross friends say Motul is the best, they are correct. Frankly the Brembo;s were only so so with factory fluid, now they work.
