Blows away cheaper options, and blows away price on the more expensive options
Don't buy your filters at the local home improvement store. Just put these on auto-order and go with it. Got the MERV 12 to help filter allergens, though I've always wondered just how much that actually does.

Filters air for my subconscious
Works as good as any other filter. I never notice after I replace them. Or before. But they tell me I should do it every once in awhile. My psyche has a different story. I will say I feel better in general about using these superior filters versus cheap bottom shelf ones I find at Golden Corral. They definitely improve my outlook. It's all in my mind and I appreciate what they're doing for it. Plus, who doesn't like carbon? How else do you make an accurate copy of something? Elevators to space?Look, apparently we have too much in our atmosphere so why not put it to good use. Carbon is life.(Full disclosure: I use Gmail not Outlook. And I always CC.)

Does not look like product they show in pictures but made with same materials.
I looked at the filter does not look like picture. It does not have any writing stating its a Merv 12. I have other Merv 12 by another brand pleats are closer . I went to the local Home Improvement store and this model has more pleats on a Merv 12 model they sell . I called the 800 number on box the company said when they mass produce some of there wharehouse do not print the Merv 12 on the side of filter , asked why it had less pleats then the ones sold in store. They said they make particular models for the store to sell but with the same materials they use on all models. I will have to see how it compares to my Merv 11 before I can actually judge it fairly.I hope it works out I bought it on sale and at a great price. Product looks comparable just not as many pleats as other Merv 12 modelsI will update after 45 days of usage.Price very good. Product has upgraded features I wanted but couldn't afford now I can.

Garbage filters
They damn near get sucked into your intake ducting. Very loud as well. Bought a name brand filter with the same specs and, big surprise, it’s quite and sturdy. Haven’t thrown them away yet but will soon.

Way lower pleats per foot than Filtrete 3M
I discovered after ordering these that Nordic Pure filters only have 16 pleats per foot vs the over 50 per foot for Filtrete 3M (for filters Merv 13 or above), which results in 20% higher pressure drop across Nordic Pure filters than Filtrete Filters of the same Merv rating, which can cause problems for some air handlers. The difference increases with age since fewer pleats (plus slightly lower thickness of 3/4 inch vs 1 inch for Filtrete) means less area to absorb dust, so the filter gets clogged up faster, so if you have high dust levels, you have to change the Nordic Pure filters much more frequently than the Filtrete 3M filters. These are still a good value compared to Filtrete if you don't have high dust levels and can change them only every 3 months : I am only dinging it one star because the filters are not labelled with the Merv rating (or any way to tell which filter you got).In the future I will try Filtrete Merv 13 (MPR=2200) Filters that are currently on sale at Costco for $11.50 per filter ($46 for a box of 4 and free shipping). You can also get Filtrete Merv 14 (MPR=2800) but at $58 for 2 (at Amazon) they are a bit too pricey for me and are only a better deal than these Merv 14 Nordic Pure if you have high enough dust levels that the Nordic Pure filters clogs up in 6 weeks or less.

Nordic Pure 14x20x1 MERV 12 Pleated AC Furnace Air Filters
The Nordic Pure Air Filters are the strongest filters we have found. We change one every month in a half. Mark on calendar so we don't forget to change filter. We have been buying them from Amazon for a very long time. They are pricey but worth it!

Misleading Title
Filters seem to be of good quality but beware of the misleading title. Title states, "box of 6," when my order arrived there were only 2. My best guess is that when you select the size from the dropdown the final digit indicates the number of filters you are ordering (e.g. my filter size ended in -2).

Great Price, Good Quality
I'm very satisfied with these filters (14x20) box of 6. They seem to work just as good as the Name Brand more expensive ones. Yes, they are a litter shorter and a tiny bit thinner then my old filters. They still fit but were a tad bid loose so I just put a piece of 3/8 inch self adhesive foam strip on the back of the filter to keep it nice and snug. For the price, it's definitely worth it.
