Privacy screen worked better than expected! Strong material that lets enough light in but provides all the privacy I wanted. Had to buy screws and different grommets for install as the built in grommets did not line up properly for my install on vertical wood slats on balcony - easy to find at Home Depot. After spending a little time on install....it could not look or work any better. As a bonus the color is nearly an exact match to my exterior condo paint color. Very Happy. Recommend. Great value.

I recently had some trees removed behind my house so I needed something to add a little privacy back to the deck. A neighbor has something similar to this so I gave it a shot. For $30 what do I have to lose? This product allows light and breezes to filter through, while at the same time providing adequate privacy. It is a tough canvas like fabric with grommets around the perimeter of it to attach to the deck rails. I was going to use the zip ties that were provided, but decided against it. I thought it looked cheap and had a tough time getting the the fabric to pull tight. Instead, what I used was small diameter finish nails, about 1 1/2" in length. I hammered the nails about 3/4" into the rails and then bent them over the grommets to get the fabric to pull tight (See pictures). It worked like a charm and the screen is nice and tight. If I had a newer deck I wouldn't have done this but mine is about 30 years old so I don't mind a few tiny nail holes.All in all it's a great product that does what it's supposed to do. I may leave it up year round just to see how durable it is, so I will update this review when winter rolls around.

Purchased because our dogs were barking at people outside the apartment, disturbing neighbors. While they still bark occasionally, the screen has worked very well. Further, it has now survived Oct 2017 - early July 2018 in North Dakota with 0 signs of wear. No sun bleaching, no holes, no flimsyness, no fraying. The fact that this has been able to withstand the cold strong snowy winds of North Dakota blizzards and the pounding of plains severe thunderstorms is a testament to the strength of this product!

I now have the luxury of walking around naked in my patio. Kidding. But these things sure do help if you’ve got some nosy neighbors really close to you. I live in a condo complex where everyone’s patio is stacked 5 stories high right next to each other. We can all see everyone’s business so I figured I needed some privacy. These things are simple to put up. I have a basket weave pattern on my railings so I just ziptied them where the holes were. It gets very windy in my area and these things block a substantial amount of wind from blowing crap all over my patio. The only weird thing is the sizing is weird, but I guess that’s why they have to be stretched out when you attach them. For example, I ordered a 8x3 one, because my my patio railing was actually about 7 3/4s by 3, so i figured I could order the 8x3 with some room left to spare. Well when I went to put the screen up, it didn’t even fit all the way. I had a gap, so I just tried to stretch it out a little to fit. It was just weird. Same with the 3x3 I purchased (Amazon didn’t offer this sizing so I went on their main site). It was 3 ft on one side, yet shorter on the other side...isn’t that weird?? I mean I made it work, but I wish the sizing was more exact. It still looks good on my patio and does what it’s suppose to. If your size on here is not “prime available, don’t worry because I still got my screen in 2 days. I also purchased the separate custom 3x3 on Alion’s Main website and it came in 2 days as well.

Love the new found privacy on my balcony!This was a great way to make my balcony a bit more intimate and to keep within my apartments level of "acceptable" decoration.The tan colour works well with the exterior of the building and looks a lot more professional compared to what some of my neighbors are doing with the bamboo/reed stuff.The material breathes well and when it gets windy there isn't a problem.I was really happy when I found a bag with a good amount of zip ties included to get up and running with install.

It is the same material as the ones you see at the tennis courts. It is good quality and air does travel through it, as it is a mesh-like material. The holes that you fasten it to the deck poles does not work with our deck style. We had to use the zip ties that came with the product, plus a thinner white rope. It bulges at the corners of the deck and also at the top and bottom. It flat out does not work with our deck but is a decent product. We will keep it, we may be able to use it when we move, or come up with some make shift portable fence for some privacy when laying out in the back yard.

Was looking for some balcony privacy. Happy with the product and it looks great after a couple tweaks. I bought black zip ties to match my balcony railing (the whitish ones it came with looked cheap installed), and I was pretty proud of the pictured corner solution. You can also see my neighbor's balcony for a comparison of how exposed my balcony looked prior to the screen.

For the most part, I like this product. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. The measurements weren't 100% perfect for my balcony railing, and not all of the holes for the zip ties lined up in the best spot (however, I think that's just due to my style of railing, not necessarily a product error). Because of this, I wasn't able to attach is as tightly and I wanted it to be, it's a little bit loose in some spots with some gaps here and there.I am in a third floor unit that faces a parking lot, and when looking at my balcony from the ground the screen isn't very noticeable. I mean, if you're really looking for it, you'll see it, but it certainly doesn't draw any attention due to the neutral color and the slight sheerness of the material.I dont know how it will hold up against dirt, pollen, or severe weather as I just received it- but I will update if anything goes wrong (I believe it will hold up just fine).Overall, I'd recommend this product. It's simple and extremely affordable. It's going to do a great job making my little balcony feel much more private.
