Olympick Magick: A Short Guide to Summoning the Planetary Spirits of the Arbatel (updated)

I haven't had a chance to try the practices yet but this book was a good read. If you are looking for a short introduction to planetary magic or if you are familiar with it and you are looking for a streamlined practice, this is the book for you. The Olympick spirits are perfect for those who wish to avoid the "baggage" associated with Jedeo-Christian angels or Graeco-Roman deities. This book is for someone who already has a good foundation in magical theory.

the method and advice given in this short book is inspiring, especially if the traditional grimoire requirements feel too daunting to approach. The author uses simple methods, but still shows much respect and love for magick. This was my first book from him, and now I plan to buy more.

Nice and practical information. Anousen Leonte also gives insights about nature of this kind of magic. Arbatel is one the famous texts, even praised by E. A. Waite, and 'Olimpic spirits' are heart of the system in practical way. Thanks for this nice book!

I like this book!

Very clear and covers the topic well. What is missing in in-depth information can easily be made up for in general occult books, or possibly others by the same author. It is practical, gets to the point, and is presented in a very down-to-Earth, yet well-thought-out manner. I very much like that it is direct and non-manipulative in how the author speaks from his own experience, which, to me, is inspiring and keeps my interest. It is a succinct introduction to the Chaotic/Olympic perspectives, and gives very reasonable comparisons between belief systems and methodology so that we can use them as working frameworks and yet be encouraged to experiment, once we have facility. By sensible means and open minds, we can come to our own, unique conclusions. I would recommend this book to others, and i am looking at more works by him. I think he is a Magickian of the "Now".....As he has done, we can sort and simplify for one another, part of what i feel may be necessary in a world that is in a state of urgency and in many cases there are instances of hopelessness and helplessness. Maybe this is not a time for sorting through and figuring out the old writings, standards and means, but instead, getting on with the JOB efficiently! Who said there are no short-cuts? There certainly are, especially if we are in fields where the Human mind has yet gain overly-complicated and confused good, practical information. My perspective is refreshed and inspired....really.Correction.....we are under the dominion of Ophiel now, we moved out of Hagith in 1900.

this is more of a booklet, very short read. the author seems to be very lenient with ritual stucture, which I like. it's kind of a book for the eclecticly oriented reader. use colored candles or don't use colored candles, perform ritual in prescribed hour or don't. The author leaves no room for fear that you'll mess up or do it the wrong way. very encouraging. I like it.

As always, money spent on Anousen Leonte's book is never wasted. You will find a handy collection of correspondences and more importantly, the remarks and impressions of what I consider personally as a high level mystic and magician.

As always, the author is very clear in her instructions. I loved reading her short manuals on witchcraft. I certainly will always recomend her books.

Very interesting book. I m gonna do (this magick )this very quickly. And i Will read soon the others books from this author.
