It's a matter of taste although I really like this ultra convenient soup. I have been wanting to shed some pounds so for lunch I take one cup of this soup with one cup of rice. It working quite well.

This a deliciously heart warming soup with a miso base but a richer, heartier flavor profile. It is considered more a dinner side than a breakfast side for this reason by many.Freeze drying means the soup has a lot of texture when reconstituted and is not just broth, but note that the portions are more in line with how miso soup is consumed - as a small side or start. 2oz approx or those tiny miso cups in Japanese restaurants are a better guide than the 14 oz European soup portions.But if you enjoy Miso soup, this is an absolute must try.

This is awesome in the morning for breakfast. Super convenient to have. I’m only giving it a 4 star because it’s very expensive.

Amano Foods is the best in Freeze Dry items and especially this one is so realistic! I can find the real slice of pork, Fried Tofu and other vegies in one little cup. I like to put less hot water so it's not watery. It is very satisfying and easy to make, AND low calories. Amano Foods makes many other Freeze Dry items so check them out!

The soup is very good. I usually put it in water first and put in microwave, it helps disolving better and enhance flavor. However it is little pricey therefore I just would give it 4 stars.

This is a real "Tonjiru" Japanese authentic one I was looking for!!!You don't have to mix with water and paste. This is freeze-drying whole soup.I love the $ too! It's only $2 for 1 cup. I can eat three bowls of the rice along with this one.It's so savory and healthy with a lot of Vegi. I will repeat the order again.

I was really surprised how good this is. No way a freeze-dried food could taste this good, but it does. The package is all in Japanese so I just threw a Hail Mary Pass and put the cube in a bowl, poured in 6 oz of boiling water and tasted it. Great. You might have to experiment with the amount of hot water, to your taste.
