The Ethical Will Writing Guide Workbook

A TERRIBLE TRAVESTY OF A BOOK
I bought this book on Ethical Will writing expecting to be given various ideas about writng and Ethical Will. I expected the ideas to be general in nature and to have enough variety that they would appeal to anyone.Instead I found that the author had indeed given various ideas about Ethical Will Writng as he suggests you might include you values, the things you have learned in life and perhaps some family history that you might want to pass on. I found that the "various ideas" were very limited in scope; however that was not the part of this phamphlet that really bothered me. It seems that the author had taken perhaps 45 minutes and jotted this information down for something that he might be presenting in a talk or lecture. But he would have to be speaking to a very limited audience with very narrow views of the world. He seemed really to present the things that HE might think about putting in his Will. Make an outline, get a blank piece of paper and write he says. Well, any 5th grader could have told me that. I thought he would have some extensive, insightful, "deep" things to share. No, he did not. Get your parper, make a list and tell people how you feel. Ok. That task is done and on to the next one...so to speak.I found NO information that I could not come up with in two or three minutes myself. I thought it was a travesty that someone could get this little phamphet published and make money from it. "They" say we are a dumbed down nation. Must be if this kind of thing is publishable. It went back,I am going to go back through the books...the real books...not the phamphlets...written on Ethical Will preparation and find one that has some new, "deep" and insigtful information. Assuming it is there, I shall purchase it instead. If you wish to make a significant impact on the people you love and revere, I think that you too should look for something with a bit more depth. I do not recommend this!...even my cat could do better with ideas and presentation. I felt this was really below par!

Something to pass on to your loved ones
I bought six copies of this and gave them to my family. I think anyone who wants to pass along traditions, customs, feelings and important pieces of their lives should get a copy of this. I heard about it on the radio one day and immediately bought the copies. It's worth the effort...pay it forward!

Not worth the price
This little piece of writing might be worth a dollar as a download but paying $6 for a stapled pamphlet was not worth the postage. The content was not worth the time it took to order the book. The information in this pamphlet can be obtained for free on the Internet.

Very Helpful
My sister recommended this to me. Very useful in examining one's own values, and what you want those remaining to know about you, or about them. Lovely little book. Simple or as deep as you like.

The Ethical Will Writing Guide Workbook -- good basic information
This is a good, condensed book for those wanting more information on ethical wills or those teaching workshops on the process. Baines is one of the early developers of ethical will writing.
