Though not authentic tasting Cuban rum, it's close enough that I enjoyed it quite a bit. I found that for these barrel mixes, using a high quality vodka is key. I have tried several and I found that Tito's combined with a Skeeter essence works, and more importantly, tastes best. The combo is this particular essence, IMHO, is pretty darn good...

This was a great gift. My brother really likes it. The company is also really easy to work with. The only thing I hate is that the scotch essence is $5.99/bottle but shipping is $8.00. Nothing aggravates me more when shipping costs more than the product itself.

This is my second time ordering this product to flavor bourbon in an oak barrel . I’m just really impressed with how smooth it tastes . Some people said it was was a little sweet for their taste and i tried a competitors brand of Kentucky bourbon flavor and I’m going to have to waste it. It’s just not drinkable. This product doesn’t disappoint !

It's good, but by the time you buy the natural alcohol and this flavor enhancer you could have bought a nice rye whiskey.

Ridiculous product with a huge profit margin. Better to buy a shot at a bar with your money or just buy real alcohol. This company gives all guys called "Skeeter" a bad name. Waste of money!

I mixed the essence with 3 1/3 cups of svedka vodka. I put the mixture in an american oak barrel for a month and a half. The mixture came out well and had an earthy, woody smell and mild flavor. The next batch I think I will double the amount of essence. I want to try it with malted grain moonshine. The essence/vodka mixture goes extremely well with 100% grape juice.

I really like the flavor profile this has added to my Barrel.

My husband loves making his own beverage. He really likes this product. The shipping is a tad ridiculous.
