These are perfect for learning about the Earth. They are soft and pliable but durable.

Great product to help introduce the basics about our planet Earth in a Kindergarten setting. The children loved feeling the earth and discovering the layers. Really encouraged lots of group discussions about our beautiful planet.

Good for a few students, children at a time. Too small for a larger classroom unless split into small groups. Even then, the printing is quite small.

Great price for this model. I love that it has the temperatures and distances listed on each layer. I bought this to accompany my science lesson on the layers of Earth. It's hard for a preschooler to imagine the Earth having layers and this does a perfect job of helping them visualize and understand the concept. They also get a kick out of me "breaking the Earth in half."

The small foam male side pieces that fit into the female slots on the other half of the Earth break off pretty easily. After only 2 weeks in my classroom one had come off. I was able to super glue it, but after a month all 3 had come off at some point and I had re-glued them each at least once. I am a kindergarten teacher... and this was in my classroom... so yes, it got handled a lot. The kids didn't purposely pull of the pieces but were also not as careful as an older child would be. Not a bad product other than that.

This is so great my son loves this and this is very durable it's well worth the cost he took it to school and his teacher loves the fact that he's so interested in it

J ai acheté ce produit pour ma fille de 5 ans, passionnée par les volcans. Elle a pu visisualiser d où viennent les roches qui forment la lave des volcans. La terre est faite dans une sorte de mousse, très agréable au toucher. Les caractéristiques des differentes couches sont en anglais.
