The Guitar of Doc Watson: Authentic Guitar TAB (GTE)

this is a awesome song book for Doc Watson songs, if you like to play his songs this book is for you

This has everything it says on the packet. Great tunes are tabbed out in this including a pretty interesting full band version of 'Black Mountain Rag'. The tabs are completely accurate and they give great insight into Doc's strategy and the little pathways on the fretboard that made his style so...him!

I've learned a lot from this book. The tablature is accurate, and the explanatory material is clear and helpful. For each tune, the book also includes a mention of the recording from which the transcription was derived. In my opinion, if it's got Fred Sokolow's name on it, it will help you become a better player, and this book is solid proof of that.

Not ALL the songs I want, but a great selection. Tabs are close-enough, but I guess the other problem is that Doc Watson recorded many versions of these songs I don't know WHICH version they are transcribing, so I can't say whether or not their "accurate" statement, is just that. It is, however, a good jumping off point.

Pretty cool book. It has a nice introduction about Doc, a bit about his playing style, and a little background on each song. Not much else to say.

I have been a long time fan of Doc Watson. I have tried often to learnhis pieces for the guitar. I was very happy to get a book that has allmy favorites in tab format.

I have some other Doc Watson books that were transcribed by some big names that really aren't how he seems to play them at all, but this one really is accurate!

Only a few songs for finger pickers, mainly for flat pickers but a good intro to his well known works

Looks Terrible on Kindle Paperwhite, is okay on i-Pad. Beware

ＤＯＣ　ＷＡＴＳＯＮ の「ＷＩＮＤＹ＆ＷＡＲＭ」は早弾きＤＯＣの曲の中でも比較的マスターし易そうな曲ですが、他に有名な曲がいっぱいあるので、なかなか雑誌等でＴＡＢ譜が紹介されることがありません。やはり自分で求めなければダメですね。（笑）今から気合入れてがんばります！

製本が雑です。製本と紙質はやっぱり日本製がいいですね！Doc Watsonは偉大です。
