A Tad Rough
I found this sadly to be a bit too abrasive for my bird's feet so have not used it. I wanted it to keep nails trim but thinking it would just make his feet sore over a period of time.

I love these perches for all my birds
I have birds as small as Parakeets and large as African Grey's and B&G Macaw and they all have at least 2 of these in their cages. The only issue I have with them is that they only work on the up/down bars to grind the birds' nails, not the side/side bars which limits where you put them. If put on the side/side bars the bird's feet are on the rough part and the nails on the smooth part.

Works to blunt sharp claws
The Sweet Feet Safety Pumice perch is definitely blunting my parrots nails. This is one of 6 perches she has in her cage and one of two of this type (two different diameters). I placed them in areas that she uses occasionally which seems to be enough to blunt the nails. Will update in 6 months.

Bird might be afraid
My cockatiel was afraid of the purple color, so my green cheek uses it. Would be nice if we could choose the color of the perch.

" CAN ONLY BE ATTACHED TO VERTICAL BARS IN YOUR CAGE" other than that I love these perches
It says "medium" , but is actually prettyl large about 12 " long ,and1/12 " thick, " CAN ONLY BE ATTACHED TO VERTICAL BARS IN YOUR CAGE" other than that I love these perches, they file down your birds nails just enough so their nails don't get caughtin your shirt when they sit on your shoulder

Sweet Feet and Beak
My bird was afraid of the perch at first and I had to work with him to get used to it. After he started using it it became one of his favorite. To get him used to it I played with it outside his cage, left it on top of his cage and put it in his cage for a short amounts of time. It took about 2 weeks but it was worth it.

On the plus side the irregular shape of these are great exercise for their feet
Rather larger that I expected. We have green cheek conures and they definitely needed something that would wear down their nails. On the plus side the irregular shape of these are great exercise for their feet.

Not what I expected
I don't think the description was very clear on this product. This is a plastic perch with sand glued on two sides. I was expecting it to be like a pumice stone with some type of smooth coating on the top. It just seems cheap and the sand rubs off easily. We put it in the cage, and we'll see if it works at all for my conure. But, I wouldn't have bought this product had I seen it first. I would just get a normal concrete or other type perch and not leave it in all the time.
