You can paint this, but you should plan on touching it up from time to time, as it is flexible.

Can this be used as a backer on trim, with regular Big Stretch caulk on top for more permenance?

I suppose you could do that. You’d have to make sure it’s lodged in there good. I can’t help but think there is a better way, but you don’t know until you try it. ? The material is clay like but doesn’t dry out. I reuse it every fall by reshaping it to fit in gaps in windows.

Can thisbe applied to a surface that is slightly wet? Like can it be put around a window if the window is weeping condensation?

You can try but I’m not sure that if window sill is wet it will adhere properly. If however it is applied when dry and then window forms condensation the water will roll off.

I think probably not - it doesn’t say it’s non-toxic, but it does say to keep it out of the reach of children.
