The Best Color Wheel
this is the best color wheel. it has the colors laid out sorta like planets in the solar system, showing you where in the circle of colors they fall, how close to another one. it is just one of the best I have seen and I have really learned a lot from it. It is quite fascinating to see where in the line of colors one specific color is and what is related to it.

Interesting and helpful
It was difficult for me to understand the cool hue of a warm color - and visa versa. This diagram helps!

Good tool for painters of all mediums
I've been an artist most of my life but in ceramics. I have been painting in watercolor and acrylics for the past 12 years since a motorcycle accident and always looking for new tools to advance my work. I saw the color wheel on a video and thought it would help in mixing colors, something I have had no training in. I hope it to be a valuable tool but the cost is extreme for what you get. The information is the true value but costly.

Very useful.
Excellent, practical color wheel. Very helpful, having pigments/paints listed. Nicely laminated for studio use.You can add dabs of your preferred paints to build a custom wheel, with some simple identification code (in Sharpie or paint (e.g. enamel)). Even for an experienced artist, this can be a handy reminder, in a world where colors can vary quite a bit between manufacturers.

Useful but very hard to see the print
I can see how useful it will be for mixed media work, but I am very disappointed after waiting weeks to receive it. The print is tiny and with the laminate covering, it's going to be difficult if not impossible to try and enlarge it. I need a magnifier to read the finest print. For this price, I was expecting better quality.

Such a great resource
For paint color mixing, lightening and darkening it's important to know where certain paint colors fall on the color wheel spectrum. For instance, to keep a color you're lightening looking fresh and lively you add a little white to lighten the color, then also add a speck of the color immediately above that color as shown on the color wheel. Same if darkening, except you add a speck of the color immediately below instead of above. This color wheel provides nearly every paint color and situates them in their proper spectrum on the wheel.
