I bought this after reading up on butter bells and found how cute and affordable this one was. It is excellent quality, durable, keeps my butter fresh, perfectly soft, and tastes delicious!

We got this to avoid having a messy butter dish on the counter. It works and looks nice also. Butter is soft and easlily accessable and no mess.

Much prettier & easier to “maintain” than my old mauve/cream Tupperware butter dish! Love it. However I had to get back on Amazon to see how to use it. No instructions included. Just pack your butter in well. I heard it can fall out. I packed it in (like brown sugar) with a knife from all directions. Haven’t lost any butter! Bought one for a gift as well. Keeps the butter perfect!

I purchased this product to compliment my white place setting dishware. It is perfect! I love to serve a loaf of bread for my guests to enjoy. I especially like that I can now cover the butter and keep it soft in this ceramic keeper. I highly recommend this product. It's so easy to use and will look beautiful on your kitchen table and counter.

The Dowan Butter Keeper Crock is a different way to keep you butter fresh and at room temperature. It is innovative and different. The butter is extraordinarily smooth and will not tear the softest of breads. It different as the butter is upside down in the top of the crock over a small reservoir of water. I have given this as a gift to friends and would say it is a great addition to any kitchen.

Can't believe I didn't order this sooner lovely jar I got the gray with the white lid and keeps my butter fresh and spreadable I was so surprised the cool temperature even with the jar sitting on the counter for several days. Some people on here had complained their butter melted or it fell to the bottom I don't think they realized there's a small line that you need to feel clean fresh bottled water preferably to that line and then put the lid on after you fill it completely with butter. Since there were no instructions that's why they probably did not have a good experience with this but I would highly recommend it going to buy several as gifts for my friends and family. UPDATE HAD FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS BUT BUTTER HAS BEEN GETTING RANCID AND ANYWHERE YOU ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH BELL IT WILL GROW BACTERIA VERY HARD TO AVOID THAT. JUST NOT WORTH POSSIBLE CONTAMINATION

I'm happy with my purchase. The crock is pretty and holds a good amount of butter. I change the water every morning and so far my butter has kept fine. HOWEVER, if your indoor temperature goes into the upper 80s beware. I did have to put it in the fridge during extreme heat to keep it from melting and running into the water! The rest of the time, it worked just fine.

Leider doch nicht so praktisch wie erhofft. Ich finde nicht, dass die Butter gut gekühlt wird. Auch der Decke sitzt nicht fest, sondern wackelt. Das Gefäß ist zu klein für eine Butter, wodurch das Umfüllen irgendwie nicht so sinnvoll ist, wenn dann doch wieder ein Teil im Kühlschrank bleiben muss. Alles in allem hat sie mich nicht überzeugt.

I was after a butter dish and did some searching to find the best one when I came across this genius butter keeper that is true to the original french design.Our butter now stays nice and fresh in this keeper and is easily spreadable and doesn’t get mould on it.Delivery and packaging were really good.
