One star docked because mine came with 5 finger inserts: the whole reason for opting for the lobster claw design is for the fingers to stay together and warm! I contacted Hestra, and they said they had no control over the manufacturing assembly, and in fact, even if I ordered directly from them, they couldn't guarantee it would come with the claw liner. Some shipped with the 5 finger, some went with the claw inner. They would not send me the correct inserts, and instead gave me a 40% off code to buy replacements, so I opted to use it to get the upgraded Expedition Liner that is also a standalone mitten.That aside, Hestra is THE glove to have if you are outdoors in winter. All the employees at the resorts wear them out on the slopes all day. I bought a regular pair for winter in Iceland, and it was there that I first saw the claw design. Of course! Even better with a hot hands pack tucked between the layers. Being able to remove the liner for quick dry makes all the difference.

For the money paid, I expected them to be warmer. I live in MN and have been waiting for a real cold spell so that I could see if these were everything promised. Unfortunately, my hands have gotten quite cold while wearing them - even when doing something active, like shoveling. I would imagine that, if you were skiing or something that would work up a sweat, they might work better. As it was, after shoveling one day last week in below-zero weather, my fingers hurt by the time I was able to go back inside. For the money, I definitely expected better - I've gotten the same amount of warmth from far cheaper mittens. That said, I do like the design and they look good.

Been a fan of Hestra gloves, and these have been reliable for me in the past as I have the men's version with the matching liner and they rock. Purchased these for my wife. Unfortunately these come with a 4 finger liner and the warmth is just not there. It would be nice if the liner matched the 3-finger mitten shell. If I wanted a 4 finger liner, I would have ordered the gloves. I called Hestra customer support, apparently this decision is made in Sweden during manufacturing and there is nothing they can do. They do not make separate liners for the women's version. Not happy with this purchase.

Used this glove for the first time this season. My hands froze to death!!! I pull out the liner and it’s for 5 fingers! Well no wonder!! Putting my hands into five finger liner then into a 3finger glove on the outside made the 3 fingers where I couldn’t move them around to keep them warm at all!!!!! Nowhere on this description does it say 5finger liner for a 3 finger glove. So stupid!!! I’m NOT happy!

I bought a 7 & 8 in these glove/mittens. I kept the 8 and returned the 7. If your in between sizes, I recommend going up a size. The gloves are comfortable and warm. I do wear Hestra liners underneath because my hands are very cold when I ski. I highly recommend!

These gloves are beautiful and well constructed. I LOVE the clamshell grip. My hubby has a pair of Gore-Tex men’s gloves and convinced me that these gloves would keep me warm. My fingers are ALWAYS cold. I made the investment (this is WAY MORE than I’d ever paid for gloves) hoping that these gloves would be the magical equipment that would finally keep me toasty. Sadly, they weren’t a magical fix for me. Bummer. They’re comfortable, beautifully made and great gloves. They’re just not going to be the difference maker if you’re a person that’s always cold.

Great gloves. This is my second pair. I always get cold hands while skiing and these gloves solved my problem. Three fingers allows you the warmth of a mitten but the mobility of a glove. I can still unzip my jacket, grab my phone,etc. I have large hands ( long fingers) so I ordered a size 9 and they are perfect. And for extra warmth, there is plenty of room to add a heat pack between the glove and the liner. i will never wear another glove or mitten. this is the best!

These are great. The three finger does make this like a mitten but with giving the benefit of a fingered gloved. These are an investment. Most people that I talked on the lift this year all loved this brand and that is why I decided to invest in a pair. Everyone who wore them loved them

Hestra doesn't let you down... quality product

Good gloves but I thought they would be warmer. They are no warmer than my much cheaper five-finger gloves. In fact, the tips of my index fingers often feel very cold. I do like the wrist straps, though, very convenient.

Für mich gibt es keine besseren Skihandschuhe als die Hestra-Handschuhe. Sie halten warm und man kann greifen. Diese neuen Handschuhe sind sogar noch wärmer als das ältere Modell (ca. 5 Jahre), bei dem es noch Daunen waren. Hier ist es wohl Filz - irgendwie sind sie wärmer. Allerdings fallen sie ein wenig kleiner aus. Vielleicht liegt das aber auch an dem etwas anderen Innenfutter (Daune passte sich wohl anders an als das Filzmaterial). Aber das neue Material ist sogar noch viel besser als die Daunen von früher. Ich empfehle die Handschuhe daher gern weiter - evt. eine 1/2 Nummer größer bestellen.

Produktbild falsch! geliefert wurde Farbkombination „Schwarz-Weiß“... Aber meine Frau wollte dieses Weihnachtsgeschenk trotzdem behalten... Handschuhe sind gut gearbeitet, angenehmes Materialmix...
