These wristbands are an excellent alternative to the medical alert jewellery on offer. I chose a child's size because I'm a small woman and had to add a small piece of "fluffy" velcro to the excess on the "burry" side of the strap to stop it rubbing. No trouble. I've got two wristbands to enable washing.What's great about these is the ability to write a good bit of information on the three-fold plasticised card which slides inside the fluffy velcro. You'll need a fine CD marker to write with, eg., a Staedtler Permanent Lumocolor "S". The card is said to be waterproof.You also sign up with vital.com in order to have a medical record accessible online to any medic looking after you.
