Poor Product
This was a dreadful purchase. The thing took hours to program, after which it never did recognize my sister's voice or commands. I have never encountered worse technology. On top of which, when I returned the thing I received only $181 of my $249 purchase price. I would advise prospective buyers to beware.

Voice recognition was inconsistent.
The concept behind this device is excellent for a visually impaired person. Unfortunately, we found the voice recognition too inconsistent to be of value for my wife's 98 year old mother. It only recognized her commands sporadically, so became too confusing for her use.

Wanted it to work !
Very disappointed ! Bought for use by low vision family member, but was not dependable in recognizing her request and then frequently dialed the wrong number. I even contacted the supplier and followed their suggestions … no help! Just to add to the frustration , audio quality in handset is not good😖 BTW Amazon accepted my return with no questions or hasstle 😜

Talking phone was not clear of speech especial when loud for hard of hearing.
I got this phone for my blind mother who is also hard of hearing, thinking this would help her. The idea of a voice command phone is wonderful. She had trouble hearing the phone and understanding what it was saying. We had the volume full loud but is still was not very loud and the talking was not clear at all. So this was a $238 failure and lesson learned. It is better to see, feel, and try something out before you buy, if you can't make the return time frame. I hope it works better for someone else.

Great in theory Only!! This phone does Not work as advertised.
I read the reviews on Amazon that said this product didn't work! I spoke to someone from the ATS company in advance of ordering it from Amazon. They were very nice and made it sound like the phone system was easy to set up and be used by someone with vision impairment. Spent the nearly $270.00 for the phone and it arrived on time. The setup is hella-tedious, and became down right aggravating for me and the person who was supposed to record their voice for recognition. It's impossible - and I've setup lots of systems before! Don't order this phone!

it is exactly what i need for my wife but ...
it is exactly what i need for my wife but it an be a hassle for her to use. i think the hassle is a conflict with her voice and the sound of the tv.

Not suitable for a senior that cannot dial fast.
In my opinion not suitable for a blind person that is a little slow because of age. The person has to dial fluently/rather fast. If the person delays two or 3 seconds to dial a digit, then the call will be dropped with a message that the number cannot be reached. The user should have enough time to FEEL the keypad to FIND the right key/digit. The good part is, it has voice announcements. The volume and sound quality are very good. For a more practical design, I suggest one that only has all the basic keys/digits.

Very poor product.
The voice recognition feature did not work at all. It could never recognize the words my 91-year-old mother was saying. For a very expensive phone, the tiny screen was scratched. The display was too small for her to read. It appeared to be a cheap plastic product. Sent it back.
