Flambeau Outdoors 1011 Safe Shot 10" Pistol Pack Case

I did not buy this store a firearm, although I can see why you would want this item for that purpose. I bought it to store fragile glass downstems I use for my bong. I wanted something with a hard outer shell and soft foam inside to protect the glass pieces. They fit perfectly in this little case and the foam inside keeps them all safe and sound. I even once dropped it while it was full of glass downstems (it was latched shut at the time) and not a single downstem was damaged, so it definitely protects them quite well. Given the cost of this item, I am impressed by the quality overall and also with the quality of the latches used to close it tight - they feel very durable and function smoothly. This was a good buy, for sure.

Fit my needs.

I paid $7 for this case and for the price, it’s fantastic. But again “for the price”. It’s plastic and thin and the lock is fine. This is not something I think will last a very long time but, it’s great for probably a short time of not being used daily. For the seven dollar price tag, it’s fantastic and exactly what I expected. This case will be used far less in winter then summer since we live on the east coast and it gets too cold to airsoft often. So it will be opened and shut infrequently. However, once the warm weather begins and airsoft can be played far more often, I expect the lock will get worn and eventually just break off. It’s perfect for the price and it was needed immediately. An upgrade will most likely come in the near future. But it protects what is inside and things don’t shift that much. If this were like $20 plus, I would have returned.

Decent case for the money. Overall I am pleased with this purchase and would buy again. Big enough to hold 1-2 standard sized pistols, it will not hold large pistols such as a desert eagle or 6+” barrel revolvers.

Great lightweight pistol transport case. It does not hold much, but for small pistols with two or less regular sized magazines, it functions great. Holds a Taurus TX 22 and mags with no problem.

This box is light which is good for air travel. It also has the proper security latches which may someday be enforced by the TSA. Cases with this shape have 2 available options. One has separate latches and lock holes. A really bad closure method for TSA rules. The other like the flambeau and Sig Sauer cases have an integrated closure/lock which secures the latches closed with concentric holes. With a cable lock through the 2 holes or longer paddle, the separate systems can be partially opened. The flambeau latches are secured with any lock. The Shield fits nicely in the unit with 1 or even 2 clips. The first unit was sent with no foam inserts. The replacement was good. The inserts are not glued in which is good. Sig Sauer cases inserts are glued in making the surface sticky for custom inserts. The flambeau inserts are just right for the Shield/clips and only require adding paper towels or thin foam to keep the clips and Shield separate if your bag takes a dump off the airport kind and gentle conveyor belt. For locks do not get TSA lock(s). TSA is not allowed to open the case without the owner being present. The owner must be the only person in possession of keys. All holes on any case must be locked. For this case 2 holes require 1 cable lock through both holes or 2 paddle locks. Flambeau - to make a better pistol travel box. Replace the 2 hole lock system with a one hole system. TSA only requires the case can not be pryed open and it is locked. A latch that spans the front and latches both ends with one lock may work. These aren't anti theft boxes. They can easily be stolen or cut open. They are TSA rule cases. In a airport, 2 or more locks are time consuming during check in.

Nice, budget Friendly case that holds my budget friendly gun. Fits my SCCY CPX-2 and it's 2 magazines with ease. I seen a few negative reviews on here that seemed like nonsense. Some complained about the quality and the foam but I found no issue. For $13 at the time of writing this, it's a great case. I would not expect premium quality from something that costs as much as an average lunch, but for the price, it's a great case! Yes as others have said, the foam is not glued in, but for me that's a plus, I store my owners manual underneath the foam. Some said the sticker left residue, but mine came right off, some even complained about the molding marks on the case, but who cares? It's a case, and it does what a case should, regardless of a blemish. Case closed.
